My teenager enjoyed seeing all the colors of the states come to life as he scratched off each state.

Overall great quality, but extremely bad geopolitical sense.1. I thought they were pro-China by including the "nine-dashed lines" and Taiwan as a part of China, but they also included the East Turkestan flag...why?2. They included North Cyprus and Palestine as a country, but not Taiwan. (Either you include them all, or left them all out.)Sorry for being political here, but including East Turkestan, Palestine, and North Cyprus flags are itself an extreme political proclaimation.Still, rated 3 stars because of the good map quality, would be 5 if they were more consistent on their geopolitical stance.

This really is a fantastic product. I bought it for a kid’s scavenger hunt that I made for Easter, and I keep it on the wall. Very well made. It comes with extra stuff (like stickers).I’m sure you could use this in many ways.

Was sent a second map; you can read the whole story below. I am blown away by the companies customer service. The new map scratches off so much easier. I can get clean lines without pressing even a little bit.Since writing the review below I decided to email the company. I was expecting much especially since I bought the map back in 2017. I explained to them what was going on and what happened. Within the next day they were sending me a new map! So the company is awesome! I would definately buy from them again because of customer service.Hopefully the new map will be easier to scratch like the email from the company said. I will try to remember to update when it arrives.Old review:I wanted to love this map. It's well designed and pretty. When you start scratching off sections to do it on a hard surface. It makes it easier and also you run less of a chance of ripping the map; like my husband did in the picture.

I had been wanting a scratch of map for a while so when I saw this on was having a lightening sale I just had to buy it! It it’s a really nice looking map and I love that it is a map of the world instead of a map of only the United States or a map of the United States and a few mainstream locations that get the most tourists. I also love that the map has all the worlds flags as well. Very well designed and presented. I would definitely say it was worth the money. My only complaint is that the scratching tool that comes with the map doesn’t work on the map and even when using something else to scratch it, it’s a bit difficult to scratch off as well as stay in the lines of where your scratching. I’ll also note that you will definitely want to get a frame that holds all its edges down for this because it’s shipped rolled up very tightly so even after having it unrolled for a while it’s difficult to keep flat. Other than that it’s a great map and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone who enjoys traveling.

Love it! Scratching stuff off is crazy fun. The flags are a welcome addition to every other similar item out there. My only tiny nitpicks:1- As others mentioned, it's a little smaller than you might be expecting.2- The roll is fairly tight, and you'll have to contort it a bit to get it to lie flattish. They do provide some instructions to help though.3- As a result, mine came with a few areas where the foil was lightly scraped or damaged during this flattening process (or maybe even before then). And in the process of scratching off some of the places I've been, I caused a few more to appear with my hand or palm.4- The foil outlines don't precisely match the map underneath, mine had some offset, so you will occasionally screw up scratching things off on the borders.5- Since each US state is separate, and more colors costs more to produce (I assume), some neighboring states are the same color, which is a small shame.6- 210 flags are included, so some additional "countries" like Aruba and Abkhazia are included, but other similar ones like Curacao are not. It's just a little random, but they're listed alphabetically so either it's there or it's not.Don't let my list fool you. These are tiny nitpicks. Overall it's an awesome map, and lots of fun to research which little islands or border countries to scratch off.Tip: I used a flosser pick to do my scrapings. Thin and pointy enough for detail work, but stiff enough to scrape the foil without damaging the plasti-paper underneath.

Purchased this for a friend who was retiring. She was so excited to put it in a frame to displace all the places she's been and wanting to go. It is just paper so framing is a must.

I've just received my map and the first impression is really good! I started scratching off a couple of countries and the results are satisfactory. It will be only challenging for some regions like Europe. I used the black plastic tool that came in the kit and it was really hard keep just under the borders for Czech Republic. A brush to help with the cleaning would be nice as I saw in other maps kit... Also, I'd like to have the provinces borders as done for the USA for other big countries, such as Brazil! Overall it is a beautiful gift! I'm adding photos that may help you seeing details a bit unclear on the original product images. I'd buy it again, no regrets!

I got this for a friend for her birthday. It came in its own box and was very well packaged. Friend has it up on her wall and her and her kids are look forward visiting another country just so they can scratch it off and bring more colour to the map. 🗺
