Nice, compact emergency kit.
I bought this to keep in my car as a minor emergency kit. Its compact size makes it easy to stow in the trunk or under the seat. It would easily fit in a backpack as well. The first thing I noticed when I opened the case was the compass. It comes in a brass case. Nice touch. The knife is functional and has a handy clip for your belt loop. The flashlight has 3 modes - high, low, and strobe. Slightly depress the power button to cycle through the different modes. The whistle is loud. Hint; don't blow it in the house if you have cats. The fire starter works well and made plenty of sparks, although adding a small butane lighter would be more convenient. The pen writes well and is pointed enough on the top easily break glass. The para cord bracelet looks plenty long and also includes a small whistle and compass. It also includes a wire saw, a couple of screwdrivers with a ring to keep them on, a sewing needle, a belt holder for the flashlight, a few bandages for emergencies, and a Mylar blanket. It all comes in a hard shell, waterproof case. Great value for the money.

The case is super compact - putting everything back can be a challenge.
As soon as I received the item, I went into the backyard to start messing around with the contents. Right off that bat, I will say this. For the price, my expectations were extremely low. I was pleasantly surprised.Pros:-The box is very solid and feels durable except for the hinges, but overall, very compact.-All of the tools have a solid feel to them, this is a perfect gift for a friend, or to keep in your car. Absolutely wonderful survival kit.-I tried the hand saw and it worked like a charm.-The small keychain LED is very bright. Surprisingly so!-Started a small fire with the flint with ease-Compass has a very old school feel, a little cheap in terms of quality, but it works.-The folding knife was nice, but does require some sharpening.-THE WHISTLE IS SO LOUD! DONT BLOW IT IN THR HOUSE!Cons:-The box is very packed. I'm still trying to figure out how to put everything back. When you open it, make sure you remember how to pack it back up-the hinges on the case are a little flimsy, they could definitely break with aggressive or very careless use. But overall, it's perfectly good to keep in a backpack or car.Things to note:Batteries not included (for obvious reasons- you don't want a customer to get a battery set that was in a warehouse for 2 years), so buy your own! This is a PERFECT gift for a boyfriend, husband, kids, even your daughter to keep in the car. Super easy to use, and includes instructions.

Water bottle holder
an additional $15 giftcard, earned that 5th star. Worth about 8$ overall, tops. Compass SUCKS Sad to see trash product. Would ask for a refund but why bother? The good- many handy items. knife is very very light weight, cheap and dull but nice design imo. It's noBenchmade 530 but still an ultra light.Water bottle holder is lovely.Very cheap items. Most of the items are infact junk. A friend got the same kit on sale coincidence-compass didn't work on either of ours 😒. The large golden one is junk without a map and a straight line what good is a compass? The wrenches are junk, many better spy tools.Review: Full breakdown from 1 to 10.Package Contents: 1 x Flint fire starter -41 x Multi-function scraper -11 x Tactical pen - 31 x Emergency thermal blanket -11 x Tactical torch flashlight -61 x Multi-function compass -11 x Mini key-chain light -101 x Tactical military knife -61 x Saber card -11 x Whistle -51 x Wire saw -44 x Band aid -11 x Shockproof case -1 junk. A small short term basic kit ...decent value for the price!
This review is for each item in this kit: Knife is very sharp, of reasonable size and blade locks well, with a handy belt or pants pocket clip; space blanket is reasonable size and equal to cheap space blankets in the $2.50 range; brass compass is readable and accurate as reported by other reviewers; solitary key ring ok in a pinch; duel aluminum whistle is outstandingly loud imho; single compress is thin 2x3 inch; flashlight works well and in the dark is good, 2 brightness settings and strobe, I bought 5 identical ones on Amazon for $8 recently; key ring flashlight is handy, 1 led with button battery, not for extended use, I purchased 10 of them a year ago for $5; belt clip for key ring, etc. might be handy is you had no pocket available, can hold whistle and key ring flashlight; wallet metal multitool...never have cared for those, but could be useful with ferrorod as a striker, same as back of knife blade; bandaid..single one..not much to be said..if you need it, you got it; package with straight and phillips thumb screwdrivers...unless you got some pliers with you or a nail you will not have much success using them, unless you got very strong hands..like superman! ; single small eyed needle..really?..no thread or line furnished; tactical pen, seems reasonable, have not tried breaking a car window with it, but it is good and heavy; 2 alcohol wipes decent; box, hinged 1 side, 4 clamp closure, unknown if it is waterproof, foam highly compressed, might be better to just rip out the foam for a bit more space in it, readily fits in a glove box, large jacket or vest pocket, now has 2 attachment points on the outside with a bit of paracord run through them; paracord bracelet...danged near too small for me, ferrorod and striker are useless, whistle is weak and plastic, button compass is decent for general direction walking, if a second smaller person is along I would give the bracelet to them to wear, not stated how much paracord makes up the bracelet so I do not know how usable it would be for shelter making or as a tourniquet. Here is what I added to this kit by removing the bracelet and clipping it onto the exterior loup of paracord: 1 single suture set; 2 stingeze swabs; 2 antiseptic ointment packs; 2 burn ointment packs; 2 firestarters(1" wax coated cotton rope pieces). What else does this kit need? Some water treatment pills...iodine. Box is too small to insert a life straw...just carry that in your pocket. When actually being used the knife, flashlight, belt clip, pen, and some other items could be carried on you, in either pants or jacket pockets, which would you a lot of room to carry some other useful items in the box. Also, a few strike anywhere matches or a bic lighter as back up would be good in the box if there were a bit more room.Overall, I am pleased with the kit and what is in it! In a minor problem, the items will likely be handy and help make life a bit easier. Of course, this kit is basic and in a long term emergency situation,,you would need larger quantities of these items and serious food, shelter, and water available!
