Elastic Hearts Paperback – September 22, 2017

The first book I ever read by Claire Contreras was Kaleidoscope Hearts. I saw Colleen Hoover recommend it on her Facebook page when it was released and decided to read it because I was just getting into reading the New Adult genre. I loved Kaleidoscope Hearts. It was so emotional and brilliant. It made me fall in love with Claire Contreras' characters and her writing. I was so excited when I saw Elastic Hearts was being released. I couldn't wait to see what was in store for Estelle's brother, Victor.Elastic Hearts was a different type of second chance love story than the first two books in the series. It wasn't based on an old, deep connection between the main characters. Victor and Nicole's connection was based on a couple of hook-ups they had a few year ago. Now, they were being thrown together in a lawyer-client situation without anyone knowing about their connection or attraction. They had to pretend it didn't exists. I liked this change. The secrecy around their hook-ups relationship made the story more exciting. It also put me on edge a couple of times wondering if they were going to end up in trouble.Victor Reuben is going to be many ladies' new book boyfriend. (I call dibs!) He was just right parts cocky and sweet. Victor knew what he wanted from life and went for it. When his wants changed, he wasn't afraid to admit it and go for it -- even if he did it cautiously. Nicole was a fun surprise. I expected her to be more confident than she was having been married to a movie star. Her little insecurities made her very relatable. I loved watching Victor and Nicole trying to keep things professional. I'm so happy the story was told in dual points of view, so I could see what was going on in each of their heads.Elastic Hearts is one of my favorite New Adult releases of 2016 so far. It put a smile on my face the entire time I was reading it. It was witty, smart and sweet. I didn't want to put it down and I'm sad it's over. (Although, I can't wait to see what's going to come next from Claire Contreras!) I would highly recommend Elastic Hearts and the entire Hearts series to New Adult readers who enjoy emotional stories filled with amazing characters.

I've read the first 2 "Heart" books in Claire's series and absolutely love them. While this one wasn't my favorite of the 3 thus far, I still enjoyed the characters and revisiting the ones we've already met (since Victor, our male main character, is the brother of Estelle from the first book). It's always fun to get a group of characters that you absolutely love and live their lives with them for a few hours.Nicole and Victor seem like that were made for each other right from the beginning in the prologue. Nicole is hot, open and ready for anything. Even if that anything is exactly like her dad. But, Victor has his blinders on and just wants to go for the career and worry about everything else later. Who needs love and a relationship to hold you back when you have success and money? Well, the story will tell you what you really need, but how difficult the circumstances may be to overcome.I see this story as a second chance romance. Even though Victor and Nicole were not official the first time around and even though their relationship starts out really awkwardly the second time around, it's fun to see what is going through their heads since we get both of their POVs. They push buttons and they push the envelope of what is acceptable. That is what made the story fun! The camaraderie and the truthfulness behind all their actions and words."I don't know how to explain it other than maybe my soul recognized something in you. And I know you didn't feel the same. I knew what we were," she said, giving me a pointed look. "Or what we weren't, since you said yourself we were nothing. But I felt it every time we were together."Two people that crossed paths year ago and who cross paths again under pretty crappy circumstances. Add in some great side characters, a strong and confident woman who is finding herself while loving the others around her no matter what, and a hot alpha attorney that doesn't share and you have the makings for a fun and entertaining book."Been there, done that, bought the shirt."

The entire series is magnificent. My personal favorite is paper hearts but even plastic hearts is awesome.The stories are real and very much part of our lives.New author for me but looking forward to her other work

I really enjoyed the series and the characters. I liked seeing them in each book and reading about their future. The whole series kept me up at night and this one was the same. I took it every chance I got (even for just a couple of minutes) just to know what was happening next.

I have to admit when I found out Elastic Hearts was going to be Victor's story, I didn't know what to expect. The glimpse we saw of him in the two previous books made me kind of think he was a bit of a dog. His saving grace was that he was a great brother to Estelle.I'm glad I didn't know what to expect going in. It made it all that much more fabulous. Victor redeemed himself and is now in my good books.I love how everything played out and I adore his love interest, Nicole. They are truly perfect for one another.I give Elastic Hearts a resounding 5 star status. It deserves every one!

Zwischen beiden knistert es immer noch, das Buch lebt von der Spannung, ob sie dem Verlangen nachgeben und dabei von den Paparazzi erwischt werden.Beider Zwiespalt- Victors, ob er seine Ambitionen für sie aufgeben sollte, Nicoles, ob sie jemals für einen Mann genug sei, wird sehr einfühlsam geschildert.

It's Victor's turn! And it was well worth the wait.This is a book about second chance love as Victor and Nicole have met and gotten together a few years before present day in the book. Victor helps Nicole out as her divorce lawyer per her father's (who owns the law firm) requests.The chemistry between them is hot and sizzles from page to page. Nicole was very in your face about her attraction to victor which while admirable, did get annoying at times as I felt like she was a 17 year old boy instead of a grown woman still married.You know something is going to happen between them and when it does you spend a bit waiting for them to get caught. The tension throughout is amazing and keeps you hooked until the end.
