I am really pleased with this trail camera and that it appears it is hedgehogs using my feeding box not rats :)I am not always sure what triggers it sometimes we get nothing but I am sure that this is probably operator error.

I bought this camera to find out what creatures visit the garden at night and to monitor birds around the bird feeder.The night vision has worked very well and the photos and videos are very good.I am very disappointed though that it does not detect small birds (robin, blue tits etc) from 1 meter distance. It will only detect them when they are really close, about 50cm (and the resulting photos and videos are not very sharp).The camera would detect a magpie or pigeon.When I put the camera on the bird feeder, the resulting video was blurred as the birds were too close for it to focus properly.For animals bigger than small birds, this is probably a great camera.For small birds, I would recommend to look for another one.Update after 10 months: it stopped working due to a defective contact (between battery side and recording side).

It is purported to provide "16 MP crystal clear image", but the results I had were appalling even in good daylight, and not suitable for the purpose for which it was sold. Unfortunately the Amazon return period has closed so now I shall have to find another method to return it. I consider the claims made for its performance are fraudulent and would advise others to check promptly if it is suited to their needs.

Whether or not this was a faulty unit I'm not sure but It didn't cope with variations of light, the images were not focussed properly and the night vision was extremely poor. The good points: the case seemed well designed and the door was at the rear, which allowed view finding whilst tripod mounted. I returned it for a refund.

I'm trying to capture hedgehogs etc overnight. All I got to start with was me doing the gardening or watering during the day. Need to be a bit patient in finding the right location and sensitivity, it seems. It does capture in the dark

This camera doesn't always trigger when wildlife walks in front of it. Also, the instructions could be much clearer. Took a while to figure out how to operate as the instructions are a little disjointed. Its ok. Would I buy it again or recommend it? No

the camera works fine but cannot download to a phone. my mistake will have to buy another unit to monitor pups
