I butcher for a living so I use this minimum 5 days a week. I thought I would like the steel being on the scabbard like that as soon as I tried it decided no way so not a huge problem there. I thought I would like the hook holder option well I was disappointed to realize they made it large enough for the mundial brand hook and there is nothing wrong with that. Where I'm disappointed is because I had bought some thin t handle style hooks to use so they fall out pretty easily if you are a fan of the larger handle style of Hook it's perfect for you. One thing that I do like about this over other styles of scabbards I have experience with is this one will lock your knives in place so if you are an active mover like I am at work slaughtering beef in the field your knives are very secure and will not fall out very easily and that is why this gets a high four-star rating from me I'm tough on my equipment so I will update with any new information that would change my review

As a Meat Cutter I needed something to hold my knives, that is durable and at a great price. This was a great buy and I highly recommend this

Buy this, you wont be sorry. Tip from Butcher over 20 yrs, dont use the plastic chain, use cloth belts for scabbards, thank me later.
