Cleans your balls well
Once my bearings were dirty and slow but not anymore. My balls came out so clean and smooth after using this item. I loaned it to my friends so they'd have clean balls too.

Excellent cleaning tool for your bearings
Unless you have spare parts to build one yourself for free, this is an excellent cleaning tool for your bearings. Easy to use. My bearings have not been cleaned in years, but also my board has been used rarely (less than 5 times per year). The bearings had a decent/fair roll to them before cleaning, now they roll almost forever on one push! Here is my method I used to clean:Tools-floor bike pump (substitute for compressed air)isopropyl alcohol 91%Bones speed cream1. load up bearings without the shields, bearing balls facing up.2. fill a little less than 1/3 91% isopropyl alcohol. (did not want to waste and really did not need a full 1/3)3. close and shake for 30 seconds, open and spin bearings. repeat this step a few times until bearings seem free from dirt when spinning.4. dump and refill bottle a little less than 1/3 91% isoprople alcohol. close and shake again. alcohol in bottle should be clear.5. use floor pump with attached exercise ball nozzle tip to blow into bearings to dry and remove any excess debris.6. once bearing is dry, apply 2 drops speed cream onto ball bearing side. spin bearing a few times.7. reinstall shields. This method should get 90-95% clean. This is my first time cleaning the bearings. Maybe if I had compressed air can and rinsed the bearings until all debris can not be detected when spinning them. I personally don't need to get them 100% clean for my uses so this method is sufficient for me.

Worth the money
For those who roller skate, instead of board, you'll need a different wrench, but other than that? This kit is a good deal.Yes, you can build your own bearing shaker bottle, but this is a DENSE small bottle and, although a carriage bolt would have been a better choice than a fully-threaded bolt, it would be tough to build a better DIY version. The puller works for bearings that don't need a tap with a drift (and how can you fault the puller for stuck bearings?). I've pulled 64 bearings and the thing works like brand new. About ten of those were stuck and I yanked on a couple to get them out with the puller (before switching to a drift). The reason I switched wasn't a broken puller -- it was sore fingers. And who can say anything bad about Speed Cream?

saved me tons in bearings cost
i just put a citrus based clear in took off the rubber washers shook the hell out of it then put a little bit of speed cream in it and they were always brand new, i did this every two weeks for a year and kept the same set of bones reds the whole time. if you keep up on them they stay nice. i wouldnt go to hard in the sense of stairs or other high impact skating but i beat the hell out of them doing flat tricks.

A no BS review - (BONES SKATE BEARING CLEANING UNIT)
I've been skating for many years now and this product by Bones is by far one of my most essential pieces in my maintenance kit. It's nothing groundbreaking by any means, it's simply a tool of great convenience and for that I love it dearly. Purchased this back in 2013 and it's still cleaning my bearings with ease today. Keep in mind, that this doesn't contain any solvents to clean your bearings with. This comes with instructions if I can recall, on what cleaning solution to use. I recommend Acetone, easily attainable at any big box retailer if you're over 18. Exercise caution when dealing with solvents, they're no joke. Use rubber coated gloves when handling. You can't go wrong with this.

Simple design, does the job
I recently needed to clean the 16 bearings on my quad skates. Several bearings weren't spinning freely. I used 91% Isopropyl alcohol as the cleaning solvent. I followed the instructions by filling the container to 1/3 and shaking. The bearings came out clean and I used Bones Speed Cream Skate Bearing Lubricant before I remounted them. The bearings now spin freely and are quieter. I also noted a speed difference as well.To the users that rated this low because there was no solvent, please read the description thoroughly. It says:* "Includes directions. solvents not included"The cleaning kit is simple, but it does the job. Some of you could probably make your own cleaning unit for less but time is money. I, personally, would rather spend my time actually cleaning my bearings than making my own cleaning kit.Pros:* Container is sturdy and should hold up well.* Perfect size for fitting 8 bearings with the spacers, while conserving solvent.* Seals pretty well when shaking with solvent.* Has everything needed (except solvent) to clean 8 bearings at a time.* Helpful instructions.Cons:It could be a little cheaper - but it works as it should.

Clean and lube your bearings, it’s easy with this kit and your bearings will last for years!
Bearing washer simple to use, speed cream makes my bearings so much more smooth the skate tool is good and compact. Cleaning your bearings is the most important aspect of skateboard maintenance, it’s easy enough to be fun, and the kit will pay for itself over and over through the years if you clean your bearings regularly. The speed cream bottle looks small, but you only use 2 drops per bearing so the bottle will last a long time. This kit is price right too!

Simple but great
Could you toss your bearings into a normal cup, screw the lid on and shake it up? Sure. Would it clean as well? Probably not. Would your bearings bang around be as easy to get out when you're done? Nope. This is a very simple tool with a single purpose. Keep your bearings in place to allow you to clean them, safely, efficiently and easily. It's easy to clean up when you're done and I love it.

Cool and probably convenient but WAYYY too expensive for what it is
I got it and it's honestly no more than a plastic tub with a screw in the top. I could go to the hardware shop and make this for a fraction of the price. Ridiculously overpriced, don't get it unless it gets much, much cheaper. I'm already in the process of returning it and it only arrived earlier today so swerve this purchase harder than most of Europe didn’t the plague.

Useful gadget!
Seems expensive and worthless, but this was an absolute game changer for me cleaning my wheels. As a beginner skater, the cleaning process was daunting and I wasn’t even sure whether this would work. It stopped the clanking noise and ensured there was enough space between my wheels so they were clean and oh my goodness, what a difference!

good for what it is but far too expensive.
I used mine to clean the bearings on my Boosted Mini X. It's good for cleaning the smaller ones. Doesn't work at all for the larger bearings. For the price, I'd expect a little more than a plastic bottle with some metal spaces and a washer. I get that the metal spacers look nicer and more professional but they would have used high-quality plastic spacers and saved some money. Metal isn't really needed for what this is used for. Probably won't buy again.

Great Product
Just buy it, it will save you a lot of messProbably cheaper and more time-saving than building your own like the annoying dude on youtube who also insists on using citrus cleaner. Use ethanol instead.Sturdy bottle, sturdy fittings, seals tight. Will last
