Leg Pillow

I recently had my ACL reconstructed, using my quad tendon. During my recovery process, this pillow greatly helped me keep it elevated. It is comfortable and soft. I will say for ACL surgery it is highly recommended to keep your knee straight for a while, so with this pillow I mainly used it for elevation and not really resting my knee all the way on the pillow (otherwise it’d have to be bent). The only thing I don’t like about the pillow is that it doesn’t have handles!!! Handles would’ve made it a lot easier to adjust it, as well as carry it. Carrying it is definitely difficult using two crutches.

This leg elevation pillow is so comfortable. After my last knee replacement I was fighting (literally) with several pillows all the time to keep them together for elevation. When I saw this I knew it would be so much better for my upcoming ankle replacements. It shipped fast and was squished flat. I took off the plastic and it expanded beautifully. The cover is very soft. There is room enough for both legs or just one. The gentle slope under the thighs is great and the knee bend is perfect and the lower leg and ankles rest comfortably on top. I am 5’4” and there is about 6 inches left over on the top so my feet won’t flop off. Seems like very solid foam that should hold up well. I would highly recommend!

After researching pillows and reading many reviews in prparation for my Jan 6th surgery foot surgery (the 3rd) :-( I setled n this one. Great Decision!!! Very comfortable and sturdy with a soft textured removable cover. The incline is a plus because it provides a comfortable resting position for the rest of my leg. I do not want another foot surgery but thid thing IS TH E TRUTH!!!

I am on my 4th ankle surgery and finally decided to get this foot pillow it works great. I am able to elevate my ankle with ease, no more messing with stacks of pillows. I have short legs ( I am 5’3”) and have had to put a hand towel or two behind my knee to prop it up as my knee doesn't fit onto the curve for the knee but I am still super comfortable using this pillow. When it first came I was worried because the box was so small, but to my surprise, it was packaged extremely nicely. It was vacuum-sealed into a flat small bag then wrapped in more plastic and finally in a pretty small box. So there was no bulky box delivered to my home.

I got ACL reconstruction surgery and used this pillow for a month after my surgery. It gives you a relatively straight angle which you need to keep extension, but it does have a slight bend in it which will keep things relatively comforatble since it's not that comfortable keeping your leg straight all of the time. If you have to keep your leg completely straight the entire time, you may want to put a small towel under your heel to keep your leg completely straight and so that you keep your heel comfortable since you spend a lot of time with your leg flat. It is ok as far as height. If you want to keep your leg elevated above your heart to prevent swelling, you'll have to completely lie down instead of sit up. However, do rest after your surgery and spend some time just lying down and getting rest!

This is a very good pillow for ACL surgery recovery. The pillow is supportive and keeps you leg straight provided you position it properly. The pillow keeps you from rolling and moving your leg awkwardly when you start feeling better. The pillow would be perfect if you could adjust the height of the foam for personal comfort. The height was great for the first couple of weeks. Once the swelling decreased significantly I didn’t need the height, just the barrier. It would be awesome if I could just slide out a section of foam.

The purpose of this order was to level my knee with my heel so as not to have a bend in my knee while it heals from replacement surgery. Although the pillow is much larger than I expected, this pillow is very soft on the surface yet firm for the exact support I needed. It positions my leg in a very comfortable position and I’m extremely pleased with this product and happy it’s from a US company.

I had foot reconstruction surgery 5 years ago -- I wish I had this pillow back then! However, I still can have swelling when I am on my feet for long periods during a day and at night, I can't wait to get in bed and put my foot up on pillows to get some relief. However, regular bed pillows (even 2 or 3 piled up) slip around and never seemed to get my foot high enough to feel total relief. This pillow was the best thing -- it remains in place, and keeps my foot up and I am so much more comfortable. Highly recommend this purchase!
