Great snack. Got the large for 85lb GSD, Inky thing I’ve found she doesn’t devour in under 5 minutes. They do very in size. The largest piece took her 20 minutes to finish. Love feeding a treat that is good for coat, skin and teeth. There is some smell… but it is fish! On largest bone was a little residue, quickly solved by giving on a rubber mat that wipes off easily or as an outside treat. They are expensive for me, but they are used as special treats not a daily affair ! Would recommend placing in a ziplock bag after opening to contain smell if keeping in your pantry!

I have a multi-dog household. My dogs range from 11 lbs all the way to 52 lbs. I ordered the large size for this reason because two of the three are over 30 lbs. Each dog chewed the fish skin differently. My 52 lb dog pretty much treated it like a treat. She tried to eat it, when that didn't work, she began chewing for a while, before going back to eating it, and it was gone in about 5 minutes. My 36 lb dog treated it more like a chew. She worked on it for at least 10 minutes before it was finally gone. And my 11 lb dog is still working on it as we speak. I think I'll probably let her chew it a bit longer before taking it away and giving it to her another time. From just my three dogs, how long these last, depends heavily on the dog. For toy breeds, this bag will last you a long time! But the bigger breeds? They're going to go through it fast, unfortunately. I purchased these an an alternative to Benebones, which fractured the tooth of one of my dogs. While these definitely won't last as long, at least it gives her something to chew again. Something that is way healthier for her too. I do want to point out how stinky these are. You can smell them BEFORE you even open the bag. If you're not a fan of fish smell, I probably wouldn't recommend them. I also recommend watching your dog with them. Especially if you have multiple dogs. Because of how strong these smell, it will definitely give the dog the urge to be protective. Not just towards other dogs but children as well. Definitely keep your pup properly supervised when giving these. But overall, I'm satisfied. They're a bit costly, so I don't know how often I'll be buying them, but you do at least get a decent amount in the bag. I didn't count them but I was surprised by how many were in there.

My shitzu went crazy for them as soon as I opened the bag. Problem is, he won’t take the chew if I cut them he only wants it whole. A little harder to break down for him, but he’s having great time with it. Quality is great. I don’t smell anything at all. I think it’s great value for the money if it makes my pup happy. And pure cod skin- one ingredient….who can ask for more? Update: didn’t realize this was for bigger dogs!!! Hopefully I will find something for my pup. He’s only 15 lbs. he loves them but is having a heck of a time chewing

Stinky, but my dogs love them. Careful with older dogs though, they become a choking hazard.

These are a great treat for your dog! Quality ingredients, full of good vitamins and nutrients, and I haven't met a dog that did not love them. Couple things to note.... there will be scales wherever they gnaw on them, & there is a bit of fish smell while they're chewing on 'em, but it dissipates quickly. My dog also uses his paws a lot so he has sticky or stiff fur on his legs & I have to wipe him down when he's finished.

My 5-month-old Golden Retriever absolutely adores these treats, and they keep her happily occupied for a few hours. The only small trade-off is that they have a fishy smell, and the scales can be a bit messy, but they're easy to clean up afterward.

I rarely write reviews but feel compelled to write this. Pretti is a 2yo female Australian Cattle/Australian Shepherd/German Shepherd mix. I rescued her only 2 months ago so I’m still figuring out what she likes. She doesn’t seem to like bones or chew toys so I got her denture chews to help with plaque buildup. My friend Dominik sent her salmon skin a while ago which she LOVED. I came on here to get the salmon skin but ended up seeing these too. I had never even heard of Wolffish! They MEAN what they say when they claim they are hearty and last longer. They have the texture of a thin rawhide flat but with the benefits of the Omega fats. One salmon skin lasts Pretti a minute- one Wolffish chew lasts about 10-15 min- just long enough to get an additional quick cleaning from the scales in addition to the nutrition. Pretti is about 35 lbs so the size (large) is perfect for her. It looks like a long, thin piece of jerky. The sizes of each chew in the pack vary a little since it’s real fish. Pretti ABSOLUTELY LOVES THEM! She gets the zoomies and waggies every time she sees me reach for them lol. Yes, the price is intimidating but it’s incredibly reasonable considering it’s one ingredient and a well trusted brand. I’ve had them for a little over a week and there’s still 12 left so I would say the price is good for the great quality and multiple health benefits (not to mention the zoomies and waggies)! I have been buying these for about 6 months now as a great treat to satisfy carnivorous dogs. They love them. I love the healthy qualities, the added nutrition of fish oil and especially the easy chew for my senior dog with an appetite to eat bones but no longer the strong teeth.

These Beams Ocean Chews are an excellent option for dogs who need low-fat treats! Since they’re made from cod skin, they’re much lower in fat and calories compared to most other chews—making them perfect for pups with dietary restrictions. For my 15-lb dog, I like to cut each strip into three smaller pieces so they last longer and stay more manageable. Of course always supervise your dog while they’re chewing, as with any treat, to prevent choking.

My dog loves these chews and comes running as soon as I open the bag. I only wish they were easy to break or came in smaller pieces. My dog is only 15 pounds and one chew is way too big for him to eat at one time, although he doesn't think so.
