Great Game! Highly Recommend
We love this game! As a 30-something female, I love doing this game as a cardio workout. I also have 2 and 4 year old girls who love the game and can play by themselves. I have to set up a playlist for them, but then they can dance and move to the next song themselves. I think the song choices are great and extensive. We've had the game for a month and the song list hasn't gotten boring yet, and we play every day. There is a good variety of kids songs, plus some great ones for older kids or adults. The kids and I both get great exercise, which is great when it's too cold to go outside. We also like following along to actual kid dancers rather than the digitalized dancers in the regular Just Dance games. The other great thing about this game is that the emoticons are encouraging for little kids, rather than giving them a sad face if they aren't doing the moves perfect. We have other Wii games that give my 4 year old sad faces if she doesn't perform as well as an adult would, and she feels bad about herself and doesn't want to play anymore. This game gives you an X, an OK, or a Perfect, but the girls aren't bothered by an X because they get stars at the end of the game. Love the game, and I highly recommend to anyone with kids!

Aerobics + Family Time = Win!
As I write this it is -34F out and we're pretty much stuck inside. This is a great way to get the whole family's doldrums on the run! If you have Just Dance Kids (the original) you'll find a new mode of play, Balloon Pop, and some fun new twists to Freeze and Shake. The song selection is great and I think the choreography is better than in the first version. My boys, ages 5 and 8, argue over playing their favorite songs, and Junior has programmed a play list of nothing but "I am a Gummy Bear" over and over. There are songs by the Wiggles and Yo Gaba Gaba performed by the original groups instead of being "in the style of" by kids. The only song I don't like is Mah Nah Mah Nah, which bears very little resemblance to the popular Muppets version (it's more like the original; the kids don't seem to care).I'm trying to lose (more) weight and to burn calories I keep things moving with pre-programmed play lists and count the calories the same as Advanced Wii Fit. It surely gets me sweating, gets us all off our backsides, and we're all in a better mood when we get done!Just buy it :)

Meh.
This is one of the most annoying wii games we've ever played. The song selection is limited and isn't varied enough. "Song 2" by Blur is one of the few tolerable ones. During one song, the dancers are dressed in 1950s garb and are in a diner and my 6 year old loves that one. Perhaps it could be improved by replacing 98% of the top 40 pop songs with some fun, family-friendly oldies. My child *loves* to get wii time, but she prefers good music and opts for Beatles Rockband instead.

The hidden workout
My 5 year old LOVES to dance and needs to exercise a little bit more (especially in these cold northeastern winters) and this is a great way to incorporate the two. The dances are easy to follow, the sensor in the controller is very good, and the points are pretty easy to achieve. There are several variations to each game (you can just do the dance, do a freeze and shake version, or do the super fun balloon pop version). There are I believe around 30 songs on it, at a variety of different tempos and ranges of motion. I didn't rate the game a perfect 5 because, 1) I wish there were more contemporary songs-I understand it's for kids, but given that the game is a new release, I would have expected a few more radio airplay songs.2)When you go into non stop shuffle for some reason, the game decides to implement an any language goes policy, which could be interesting from an educational aspect, but seems to distract my child when trying to do the hokey pokey in french....she can't quite figure out what to put in and out whenThat being said, the game is really fun, provides excellent motivation for my child to move (and i've done it with her and it kicks my butt!). Great family fun!

My 5-year-old loves it!
Hy husband got me "Just Dance 3" for the holidays and my daughter fell in love with it. However, there were two problems: 1.) Most of the songs are not age-appropriate for 5-year-olds; and 2.) The moves can be complex and it's hard for a kid to get a high score. That's when we found "Just Dance Kids 2" On her first try, she got 4 stars and was so happy that she high-fived me! She has no problem navigating the menu and choosing her own songs, so we don't even need to use the playlist features. There are no objectionable songs on this game, so I'm able to let her pick any song she wants, as opposed to JD3My one criticism, though not bad enough to knock it down a star, is that I wish there were more high energy dance moves. On JD3, she is jumping and bouncing around so much that she's sweaty after 2 songs, but she can play with this game for half an hour straight without breaking a sweat. I really wouldn't call this "exercise in disguise!" like it advertises on the game case, but rather just a fun, wholesome dancing game for kids.

My Grandson loves this
We bought this for a soon to be 4 year old boy on his visit to Grandma's and he just loves it. The first thing he says every morning on his visit here is, "Can we play the dancing game?" We make him wait for everyone else to get up first. There is a nice mix of boys and girls dancing so it is not just a girl or boy game. He knows a lot of the songs from TV shows or preschool. He is too young to really dance well, or to follow closely, but the game gives him enough points to get a star and make him proud of how he did. It is a great in door activity to keep him moving without tearing up the house, and the music is not that treacly stuff kids music usually is, just kids singing songs rather simply. He has only done the youngest songs, and there a lot more so I feel he will be enjoying this game for a while. I enjoy watching him play this.
