Have tried a few newer designed buckets ... this one's still the best imop

I’m a high school trumpet player in need of an all around good bucket mute. This mute is everything I need for when it says “bucket mute” on the page. It gets me that classic big band sound, but it also works well in a solo ensemble or small jazz group. Overall, I will be using this as my main bucket mute for years and years to come.

Good mute, Not flawless as they said , it needs more optimization especially for high notes, it's hard to play high notes with This mute.

Great quality for price

I've had a hate-hate relationship with Humes & Berg for about 20 years. Their products just feel like circus tools, with that red-on-white motif of theirs. Still, a cheap mute is a welcome thing when you only need the thing once every five years. And it sounds good. (having it on my doorstep in 2 days when the other guys had it backorder was a nice perk - concert's next week!)Trumpet players need to do their research though. This comes in different sizes and it DOES make a difference which one you get. This 5-inch model is what goes on a standard Bach Strad with 37 bell.
