Rage 2 - PC Deluxe Edition [Amazon Exclusive Bonus]

Great game.

I bought this game because the gameplay in the reviews I watched looked awesome, with tons of color and lots of fun/silly gore and dismemberment. Since those reviews, the game has been patched to hell and they've removed 99% of the blood and gore, so it's now much more difficult to tell if you're actually making contact with enemies.I played the game for 15 minutes and completely lost interest. Game arrived fine and works fine, it just sucks.

Well to start off with, this game is combines two of my favorite kinds of games: open world games and action fps games. I was a bit apprehensive about the game considering Fallout 76 was kindof a flop for me, so i just bought the deluxe edition. The story is decent, but being honest, the story is not why i love this game, the gun play feels amazing, which isnt surprising considering Id software was a part of its creation. Plus the open world of the game has so much to do i have been playing it a decent amount since launch, i have barely done half the locations on the map, which is Avalanche Studios world building at work. im still having a blast playing the game, every weapon feels great, the abilities are awesome and powerful. The only con i have with the game is the wonky steering of the motorcycles, but other than that the game is a great buy for those who love this genera of games. I also suggest looking up other peoples reviews on youtube rather than reading the ones here if you cant make up your mind, but thats my opinion.

Definitely the last Bethesda game I will shell out extra for a special edition, if Fallout 76 wasn't enough of a hint. At least I got my money back on that (thanks Amazon!). Game has some promise - shooting feels tight, some mechanics are pretty awesome - but a whole lot of potential is unfulfilled. Boss fights are particularly a joke - since they can't really come up with a good way to integrate the shooting mechanics with a boss encounter, or any really meaningful way to differentiate boss fights from regular mobs, they always dump you in a small, cramped, inescapable room with a boss monster that tries to cover up the fact that the bosses aren't all that suited to the best part of this game, the shoot n' scoot mechanics. Vehicles are similarly disappointing in many ways. One vehicle seems so overdeveloped as to be OP, the rest are afterthoughts. You'll use them once or twice and then realize they're all inferior to your main vehicle in pretty much every way. Was expecting to be able to board enemy vehicles Mad Max/GTA/Just Cause style, considering the developer, but nope. The endgame is just a slog - instead of developing new fun ways to vary up the content, they just double down on more of earlier stuff that's frankly more annoying than fun. Sentry Tower level 10 is essentially the same as a level 4 except it fires 4 rays that pass through all cover instead of 1 and sucks up a boatload more ammo as you laboriously do the same thing over and over again to take it out. Bandit camp level 10 is basically the same as level 6 except no ammo drops. Basically it doesn't seem like the developers put much time and mental energy into anything but the most basic aspects of this game, which is disappointing considering how fun and wildly open-ended the Just Cause series was. Would only recommend at a deep discount, and then only until about the mission where you go to the DNA facility. Most of the game after that point is a waste of your time and energy.

I brought the hard copy of the game, only to be disappointed that the game is not able to redeem on steam, so I have to return it, to get the digital copy on steam because I do not want to deal with the mess that is called "bethesda launcher"

I am sure it would be an awesome game in my digital copy would have leaded properly. I received NO SUPPORT from Bethesda. Very disappointed.

The shooting is TOP NOTCH but I can't recommend because the driving is INFURIATING!
