I am a bit apprehensive when ordering inexpensive electronics originating from China b/c you can’t really trust the glowing reviews and there are so many at the bottom end who receive deadlined items (I got burned a few times w/a borescope purchase and N64 av connectors). However, the av-to-hdmi converter I received works perfectly and as advertised. It does not upconvert, so you’ll need to adjust your hdtv to get the appropriate screen ratio, but otherwise it worked flawlessly. I tested mine with our old Hi-8 camcorder, an N64, and a PS1 and they all looked great on screen and sounded fine in stereo.The unit itself is very small and easily tucked behind my wall-mounted tv. Installation is simple and took ~1min. Just plug the hdmi side into your tv, the av side into your device, and the usb power connector into the usb slot into the tv and it’s all ready to go. Alternatively you could plug the usb into a wall outlet for power, and the av cables come with an adapter so you can switch between male/female connectors; this is important b/c you can either plug it directly into a device, like a vcr or other component, or have a device plug into it, like a camcorder or game system.Bottom line: the item I received works well, hides well, and is simple to install and use. I am purchasing a second device for my wife’s grandfather so he can go through old vcr and hi-8 videos. I can recommend it insofar as if you receive a working product it will work well and as advertised. I am pleased with the device so far.

I was having an issue getting a VHS player to work with my HD60X. Did some research to find that maybe an adapter like this would work. Welp, it did. It took some time to get everything working, but I think that was just trial and error of getting a set up like this running. It shipped quick and worked like a charm!

I bought this product to hook up my PS2 to my new HDMI only TV. It is nice having all the cables you need as part of the device. Only downside will be if there are issues down the road. I can't swap out the cables. Would have also been nice if the USB and HDMI cables were on the same end so that it hangs nicer from the back of the TV. All in all it works for my needs and I can continue to game on new TV.Also wanted to mention the first one I got was not working. I sent it back to Amazon, but Tackston reached out to me directly about the issue. They promptly sent me a working replacement. That was great customer service and something I was not expecting. I will be looking at this reseller for future product needs.

This was easy to hook up. Look for a USB tab on your TV because this will get it's power from that. I didn't find that the resolution was significantly compromised by this hook up like reviews of other similar items from other companies. I'm happy with it and now I can watch my old DVDs and VHS on my smart TV.

I was trying to hookup my Wii to a new flatscreen TV through an old receiver and this is exactly what I needed to make it work. No complaints at all, it works well. Picture quality isnt great but that’s to be expected with a Wii on a large screen.

Item is a piece of CRAP! Amazon would not honor the manufacturer return policy. DONT BUY!

Haven't tried it with SNES or other systems yet, but this breathed new life into our Wii. Easy to set up and works well for what I got it for.

Unfortunately this didn’t work for the Wii which is what it was purchased for, however I’m sure the cable itself works fine
