I was looking for a handy little microphone that I could pop onto my phone, anywhere at any time and rack out a couple of videos with decent sound, so this one is perfect in terms of size, but is the sound quality great? Let’s see. This was never going to sound like a top quality mic at this price so if you are just starting your Youtube Channel or just making some nice little videos for online, then this is perfect for you. You can pop it onto your digital DSLR or straight into your mobile phone (if it has a 3.5m jack) and record away till your heart's content. There is a 0dB and a +10dB setting, so I have found, in most cases the +10dB will be needed for a good quality sound. Its plug and play, so that’s really handy. If this mic was twice the price, I would say don’t bother, and it would only be a 4-star job, but the very affordable price means you can take a punt, and thus deserving of the 5 stars.

Setting up the microphone is simple enough. I have got it for my Canon 70D to record some videos. The mic fluff helps it from wind noises. Sound quality is decent enough however, I did do some slight editing on my end. These work with your phone as well as long it supports the cable

I purchased this microphone for my camera for when I make YouTube videos. It’s easy to use and picks up sound quality very good I really like the fact it can be used with my phone aswell.
