Good product that works
I saw this on social media and I didn't think it would work, but it does. Nothing is 100%, but 98% of hair was caught by the vacuum and that's good. I'm happy cause I was able to shave, my wife was happy that hit was happy that the facial hair wasn't everywear. The guards work well, a d if you have other Remington power shavers the plug works from other devices.

Powerful vacuum. Better than the Philips Norelco!
I have owned two of the Philips Norelco vacuum beard trimmers in the past. I thought they were great and I just came to accept that while they caught a lot of the hair trimmings, quite a bit of them ended up in the sink. That was fine, I thought, at least it contained a good portion of the mess. The Remington has opened my eyes to what is possible. The vacuum suction is more powerful and, as other reviewers mentioned, the slot that pulls the clippings is much bigger so it caught much more of the hair clippings. An order of magnitude more. I have attached pictures demonstrating the difference between the slots. The chamber that holds the vacuumed trimming on the Remington has some pros and cons:Pros:1) It comes right off of the trimmer and can be easily dumped and washed out. The Philips Norelco couldn't really be washed as there was only a door that would swing open.2) It seems to be a bigger chamber.Cons:1) It does require you to disassemble more of the trimmer to just empty the bin whereas with the Philips you just open the little door and shake it out.Overall I prefer the design of the Remington because I can keep it cleaner. As for the trimmer head/comb it's definitely bigger than the Philips Norelco. That said, I have a separate small detail trimmer that I would use to trim close under my nose. With the Remington's second detail head, I didn't really need my other smaller trimmer. The detail head worked great and the suction still grabbed the trimmings. That said, I do feel like it is harder to remove the trimmer head and switch it out with the detail head. I felt like I was going to break it. Time will tell how it holds up, but for now it's fine. The main reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because I would have liked to have seen a better way to charge it. Either an inductive charging base like my Braun BodyCruzer or a USB-C connector (or both!). I think that would make it even better.

It works great!
Ease of use:Works great, it shaves my beard off as other electric shavers do, but it also keeps hair from falling everywhere bu vacuuming up the hair as it cuts! Thank you for creating this shaver!

No more shavings over the sink
works great - sucks all the hair while you shave.

Not for a close stubble shave
I use a beard shaver on the closest setting, typically. This shaver is solidly built and has a decent vacuum, but there are several areas of improvement needed. I have owned the two versions of the Norelco beard shaver with vacuum as well for comparison. Those shavers could get as close as 0.5mm (more like 1.0mm in reality). This one claims to get a 2mm shave at closest, which is a pretty long starting point for a stubble shave. While I can’t measure my stubble, it seems significantly longer than that. It’s longer than I prefer to keep my beard, so it isn’t terribly useful for me.The vacuum is okay, but it dropped a lot more hair than I expected given that other reviewers found it got nearly everything. My sink was covered in hair. The length adjuster is also a bit finicky, as it tends to stick in position. The good news is that it is significantly easier to clean the hair out than the latest Norelco vacuum model, which was comically bad in that area.

Less mess, great trim
Finally a trimmer that keeps me from making a mess of the bathroom. This really does a great job of catching all the trimmed hair when I use it.The trimmer had nice adjustments for the gate and the vacuum feature is why I bought it. I’ve been using it for almost a month without having to charge it so the battery life is great. The only issue is the vacuum area does make it a bit tough for the trimmer head to reach into corners, like the mustache hairs just below your nose. The trimmer handles my facial hair well and it certainly catches most of the trimmings. It says 95% and it seems to live up to it. I still put down a towel but I no longer have to wipe down the entire sink area after trimming and the catch pod is easy to empty.Huge improvement over my old trimmer.

Falls apart after warranty expires
I liked this trimmer at first, but MAN does it have issues toward the end of its warranty period.First, I like the adjustable trim guard and the swappable heads. I also like how easy the vacuum chamber is to clean, and it catches a decent amount of hair. Additionally, battery life and retention are also pretty good; I only really need to charge it a few times a year. This is where the positives end.Materials: I'm not one to shy away from cheap or chromed plastic, but the kind of rubber they use for the front panel on this trimmer is unacceptable. The glue that was holding it on gave up leaving two rubber strips dangling near the trimming head to dry up and crack off.Maintenance: This trimmer needs a lot of it. The package claims "self sharpening" but when it gets to the point where it needs to sharpen, the trimmer gets painfully loud when near the ears. It was pretty quiet when it was brand new, but now I need to oil each blade before every use. The detail head also eats trimmings and deposits them inside its housing instead of into the vacuum chamber, which also clogs easily with the detail head. Cleaning the regular blade is somewhat annoying but doable. Cleaning the detail head is pretty much impossible; it's only a matter of time before it fills completely with trimmings and jams up forever. Mine has certainly slowed down over the course of my owning it.I would say this is fine as a travel trimmer that you're not going to be upset about losing if it wasn't for the price. It's way overpriced for what you get. Look elsewhere.
