Despite the fact that these have “room darkening” in their title description, I was fairly certain that, because of their color, they wouldn’t be. I was simply looking for something inexpensive to cover a sliding glass door for privacy, and a bit of sun-blocking to keep the temperature down when the evening sun hits it. The photos show the following, clockwise from top left, at ~7pm mid-summer in Florida: (1) No lights on in the house, light coming through with overcast skies, and the contrast to a beige wall; (2) Light coming through focused on just the curtains; (3) Sliding door security bar visibility through curtain; (4) Close-up of fabric weave. That being said, at for $15 for the pair, I felt the quality was very good. They held up well in the washer and dryer (however I didn’t measure before/after to see how much, if any, they might shrink).While these aren’t exactly “my style” design-wise, they’re doing the job until I find what I want for all the windows (which have blinds) in the space. Also, I held these up to the windows with blinds and they are a little bit darker, but not a lot. If you’re looking for something with more privacy than a sheer and are okay with light still getting through, I recommend these. I’d give them 5 Stars if “Room darkening” wasn’t in the title, because I’m sure many might be mislead, and worse reviews might come from that.

I've been looking for curtains like this and I could not be happier with this purchase! I hung these upside down and used curtain rings instead, I like how it looks. These curtains let some light through, but are a good, medium weight and it seems like they will hold up for a long time. I recommend these curtains 100%.

I'm using it as an accent piece for a doorway.. many have complimented on them,they are very pretty- would buy again...debating on getting 2 more sets for my dining room.

These did just the trick in my living room. They were as expected for the price.

They don't really keep all the light out but I wasn't expecting them to! The pattern is exactly as pictured and color too.

Loved these curtains very nice material. Block most of the light.
