This item looks like an effective well made magnetic cleaner. However, within minutes after it arrived, I opened it up and started to clean my one month old $400.00 SeaClear Acrylic tank. Literally within minutes after I started, I was horrified to see that EVERY slide back and forth and up and down had SCRATCHED on the outside of my brand new Acrylic tank. At first I thought it was just on the inside where the algae was being scrapped clean, but no.... every slide of the outside handheld portion scratched where it had been. I quickly inspected the handheld piece to see what went wrong and what caused the damage. I could not really find anything obvious or significant that should have been capable of causing such damage.I believe that it was just plastic burr or debris from the manufacturing process, but the damage is done and I will not be taking a chance with this item again. With all of this being said, this would have worked fine on a glass tack, but it ruined my new Acrylic tank.

Makes doing a quick cleaning of the glass to help my sucker fish maintain the tank clean. great product for pro and beginners alike.
