I bought this Matt a year and a half ago. My previous mat only lasted about six months so this is a great improvement. At this point the suction cups are starting to deteriorate and break off of the mat. It’s a decent mat that holds in place. To prevent as much buildup as possible. We rinse it after each use and hang it over the tub.

I want to start this review by mentioning that my tub needs some serious help--the previous homeowners did an awful, half-done (seriously, only half of the tub was done) diy refinishing job...I'm convinced that they just used leftover house paint on the tub.That said, I have not been able to get a bathtub mat to actually stick to the crappy tub floor because it's so chunky and uneven in so many places, but because this mat is slightly smaller than the other ones that I've bought (which surprised me, but shouldn't have because I did not pay much attention to the measurements), this mat's suction cups just happen to sit on the smoothest parts of the tub floor--meaning that IT ACTUALLY STICKS and it feels really secure.The mat isn't as cushy as my previous bathtub mat and it smelled (still smells 3 days later) awful. I left the mat outside for 2 days and if it still smells, I'm throwing it in the washing machine.I read all the reviews about picking up the mat to let it dry, I did that and I know that I will continue that practice but I doubt that my husband will continue with that after a week or so.

I wasn't sure if this would be comfortable and would stay in place, but it has worked really well. I am very happy with this lightweight mat that stays in place and allows water to flow through it.

I had my tub and shower replaced with a walk-in, to step over shower. This mat makes a safe place to step. I had feared using my tub and shower because of the slick surface of the tub. The color of the map matches the color of my shower curtain. I hang it on one of the hand rails and it dries between uses and remains free of mildew and stains!

This anti-slip mat was difficult to place in the tub. You have to push down each suction cup which takes awhile bent down in tub. Surface still seemed slippery for the elderly person using it while seated in shower on shower bench. She felt it was still slippery when standing up. After use the instructions say to pull up after every use to hang over tub to dry. The suction cups work very well after pushed down so it takes some work to get it back out to hang over tub to dry to prevent mildew. Seems very durable and suction cups are very strong so mat won't move under you. Plastic still seems slippery. Rough strips could be purchased to put on mat so you don't have to permanently place in your tub or shower stall. This is also a large size.

I’ve used this kind of mat for years because showers and tubs are slick. These have suction cups that hold them in place and there’s no way that you can slip. They last a long time and I just replaced my old one with this one. I’d hate to have a shower without one. You can roll it up and take on a trip to use in hotels and motels.

It is machine washable, nice color hasn't faded ,or changed color. works fine in my shower
