My wife and I live in an apartment. The city's recycling trucks only pick up the big bins in front of houses. People that live in apartments are relegated to do their own thing recycling wise. I found out where our city's recycling center was located, so we could recycle also. I needed a bin to use in our apartment and I immediately thought of Rubbermaid. This bin is about the size of our kitchen trashcan and is made very well. It is very sturdy and serves its purpose. I also like that is it made in the USA. Most, if not all of Rubbermaid's products are made in the USA. You have to do your own research prior to buying though just to be sure. I appreciate the supply chains of businesses and I understand how supporting domestic manufacturing etc. benefits our nation's economy. This Rubbermaid bin benefits nature by serving as a recycling instrument as well as benefiting our nation's manufacturing and supply chain base.

Very sturdy and perfect size for what I needed it for thank you

This review is for the Rubbermaid Commercial Deskside Recycler, 10 Gallon, Blue (FG295773BLUE)… Our family recycles a lot and we usually just place a paper back or box on the side for the recyclables. We began to run out of paper bags since grocery stores started to charge for them or did not offer them anymore for free. They would also get wet and dirty and I don’t want all the dirt and juices on the kitchen tiles. So we decided to invest on an actually blue recycle bin for indoors. It stays clean since it stays in the kitchen regularly and it is pretty easy to identify (guests don’t have to ask where we put the recyclables anymore). The material make it so easy to clean and handle. We just hose it down outside every week or so. It also take up very little floor space as we just stick it in the corner. We just empty it every 1 or 2 days or so. It is the perfect size for the kitchen too as it can fit milk jugs, egg containers cereal boxes, etc. I know we are all guilty of putting things in the recycle bin without crushing them first but this work well for those lazy days too.I would highly recommend this recycle bin.

Got this not long before a study was released about how recycling isn't economical, and it was really disheartening to read that so much recycling just goes straight to landfills (time to work harder on reducing/reusing). However, we will continue to go through the motions (including proper cleaning before disposing - part of the reason why recycling has its challenges) and hope it will become economical (or prioritized) again soon.All that said, this bin has a very sturdy and durable feel to it. It's well-sized for us to fill up over the course of a couple weeks and has a nice, bold blue color. It came in a discreet box and was Prime Eligible.

Works like a charm for everything we've used it for so far. Our rv shower had no hot water so we boiled hot water for a while and used this bin in the shower to store hot water in and used a portable shower that the pump went inside it and it held the water and its heat just fine and didnt melt at all or leak any water. Very sturdy. Now its used as our garbage bin in the house and has held up great since we've had it for well over a month now. Cleans out very easy to. Highly recommend. It has had many uses for us so far and is holding up.

I wanted to start that I didn't give it 5 stars because most of those seem to be "bought" reviews. I know I have received many "bonus" item offers if I am willing to put up a 5 star review for a product. This bin is excellent. I have had no problems with it at all. It is perfect recycling blue so my family and visitors know to put all recyclables in this bin. It is also the perfect size for the 13 gallon translucent blue recycling plastic bags. Over-all a great product.

I got this for home use to help my family ACTUALLY recycle our recyclable refuse. It is high quality and easily fits next to our regular "tall kitchen" garbage can. This is one of the better purches I made to help teach my kids what to recycle and the right way to do it in our area. Also, it really cut down on the total amount of trash our household produces in an average week. So if you have to pay for trash removal but not recycling, this is longterm money saver for your home too!

This product is very sturdy. I purchased this from a seller who did their own shipping, not someone shipping through Amazon. Anyway, they didn't put it in a shipping box or anything protective at all! They just slapped a sticker on the side and sent it out unpackaged.It got here and I could see it had a very rough trip. It was gouged up, super super dirty, foot prints, all sorts of scuffs, squished, but it still survived all that. Other kinds of plastic would have broken apart or gouged all the way through.I cleaned it up and it's mostly fine still.Obviously, not all shippers who do their own shipping are going to do what the people I ordered it from did, but still, it held up pretty nice during what I could tell was a terrible trip. The product itself can take a good amount of abuse, especially for the price.
