Perfect for Quilt as You Go Quilts
I use this for making quilt as you go quilts. When you fuse this to your blocks and the backing, it stays in place long enough to quilt the blocks before stitching layered blocks together. I also use this for a quilting technique I call "Quilt as You Piece". This is where you cut the front piece, back piece and batting pieces, of your blocks, all at the same time and layer them as you piece your blocks. The back side of the block, is the same as the front side of the block and I fuse the pieces to the batting as I piece my blocks in this way. Then I quilt the piece just added before adding the next piece to the block. When I am done piecing the block, it is already quilted and ready to be joined to other blocks of the quilt. The adhesive works great for this method of piecing and quilting.

fundamental quilting tool
This product is *amazing*. the batting is soft and comfy and makes the quilts not too flimsy, not to stiff. WHen you first open the package, everything is a little sticky and you have to take the time to spread all the batting out. I used it with my regular home iron on the hottest setting. I laid out the batting on my floor (make sure your floor is clean, at-least swept or vacuumed b/cuz every little bit of dirt will stick the the batting...), then the quilt top on top of it. I ironed the two layers working from the center of the quilt towards to outside (I actually sat on the quilt to do this). I then flipped it over and fused (ironed) the backing of the quilt using the same method. The fusing will actually hold for only a few hours, enough time for me to start quilting. I was able to quilt two middle columns of my quilt which holds everything together enough to not have to bast all three layers (top, batting, backing). this is a top quality quilting tool, worth every cent, because it makes layering the pieces of the quilt and quilting them so much easier !! it beats a spray adhesive because when you use those, they always spray all over the place besides on the quilt - to do the ends and corners of the quilt I always end up getting it all over the floor....!ps, I hand quilted, so I am not sure how machines react to going through the batting with the glue; if it sticks to the needle or not.. etc...

Fusible batting gets the job done.
I do not use any other kind of batting . Fusible batting makes my job so much easier. Have tried spray on adhesives & powder that adheres but Hobbs fusible is so much easier to bond a quilt sandwich together for the quilting process. Hope Hobbs continues to make this product. Once the quilted piece is done & the project washed it drapes beautifully & is so soft. I recommend this product.

A Quilter's Dream Come True
This batting is fusible on BOTH sides. It greatly simplifies the process of making the "quilt sandwich." Every quilter knows how tedious this task can be. Lots of companies make batting that is fusible on one side, but not both. I discovered this product at the Hobbs booth at the Houston quilt show, and brought a sample home. It's not easy to find at local quilt shops, and I am thrilled that Amazon has it.It only comes in queen and one other size which is much smaller like crib or throw. Can't remember because I only buy the queen size. If you want to buy it, be absolutely certain you are buying the kind that is fusible on both sides. I believe Hobbs makes one that is the usual one-side fusible. You have to be careful and read the fine print.

Excellent fusible batting.
I LOVE this batting, I use it almost exclusively. It is so great to not have to use pins, or baste the quilt. It is easy to quilt through, and when you wash it , the fusible totally washes away. Follow the directions , it is simple to fuse. You will LOVE this batting!

I gave it just 4 stars because I would LOVE to buy it on a roll
I bought the king size, fusible both sides. I cut it up to use in smaller, crib quilts. It does start out very wrinkly, but will lay flat when ironed. I also pieced some smaller sections together to make a 60 X 50 and it worked well. I gave it just 4 stars because I would LOVE to buy it on a roll, instead of folded in a package. I AM buying it again.

Still looking
I have been looking for a batting that would not crinkle after a wash, light weight and fusible. This is not it. Although it crinkled a little less than my previous all cotton choice (this is 80/20), it still did quite a bit and as a result still shrank too much to keep my quilts flat. Also although it was marked as "fusible", it did not stick to anything on either side with heat. It's heavier to handle than my all cotton one, being a little stiff and scratchy at first, but with repeated manipulation during quilting, it lost that stiffness and quilted beautifully, but totally lost that beautiful quilted texture after one wash.
