Happy to give this nice little instruction book as a gift!
I bought this Hand Embroidery Stitches At-A-Glance instruction booklet for a girl’s 12th birthday gift, as she recently mentioned an interest in embroidering on her jeans. (Being a child of the '60s and '70's we embroidered on everything, so I am excited to get her started with the right materials.)However, this is a perfect instruction book for any age, as it is well thought-out having clearly illustrated and written step-by-step instructions for 29 stitches, some possible stitch options, tips and notes. The stitches are presented in alphabetical order in easy to read font, and although some might think the font small - hey, it’s a pocket-sized booklet - the perfect size to slip into your portable project kit! Additionally, it’s a pretty little book with laminated cover and sturdy pages; colorful frames around the illustrations within enliven the pages and I’m happy to give this as a gift. There are more extensive books out there for those who want more in-depth info, but this booklet has more than enough to get started, or as a refresher, and worth every penny.

informative
This is the next best thing to watching a how-to. Some of the stitches will have to wait until I master the easier ones

small but very informative
easy to understand each page not only has clear images of how to do the stitch but it also comes with worded explanations if that's easier for you to understand. The book itself is small, more like a pocket booklet.

Great reference guide for beginners and refresher for those with experience!
I was worried it wouldn't provide enough detail for me to understand the directions for each stitch! So far I've learned the correct way to back stitch and do the French knot!

Great SMALL Carry-along Guide
This is my favorite small (4” x 6”) carry-along guide. It contains some of the best step-by-step instructions I’ve seen in a compact size. This is great for beginning to lower-intermediate students. Happy Stitching!

Not a lot of help.
This little book shows what the stitches are supposed to look like but it doesn't show how to start or stop them and a lot of the pictures show the thread in a strange place. It would make perfect sense to someone who knows how to do it but to a total beginner it is very confusing.

Perfect for starters
This is the perfect book for starting embroidery and just wanting to have some fun with it. I was able to learn multiple stitches and get the hang of things!
