I have worked with other brands before
This brand is amazing! Easy to work with, used for a tree truck look on a cake and it tastes so good! And I don’t like fondant typically.

Brownie-Delicious
I decorate a lot of cakes with fondant, and I swear by Satin Ice. I have tried almost all the brands out there, and Satin Ice is my tried and true staple. This flavor fondant is darker in color than I was expecting, it is a very dark shade of brown. If you are looking to make a wood-grain or a box color, choose a lighter shade. This shade is almost black, it is so dark. However, the taste of this color fondant is absolutely fantastic! It tastes like brownies! Even my two daughters (8 and 6) thought it was amazing and begged me for the leftover scraps! This fondant is easy to work with, it rolls and handles nicely every single time. Highly recommend!

fresh, on time, and delicious
I have a hard time finding Satin Ice products locally - so ordered this in desperation. It arrived on time, and was very fresh. For those that haven't tried it - it has a nice "Tootsie Roll" type chocolate flavor (but even more chocolatey than Tootsie Rolls in my opinion). Works fantastic - and has the consistency I like for working with fondant. I have purchased products in a store before - only to get them home, and have a tough time working with them because they are too old and dry. Not the case with this one! I will definitely purchase this product from this seller again.

Makes my cakes better!
I really like this fondant! It was easy to work with, tasted good, and smelled fantastic! It's a nice dark color so I was able to substitute it for black a lot of the time unless I really, really had to use black... It is a little sticky when rolling it out, but nothing a little corn starch and sugar couldn't solve. Covers a cake much better than wilton brand too... I am very happy with my purchase!

Good.
I am hoping these work well like the other fondant that I have purchased. It looks smooth and has a nice color.

Very Easy to Use - First Timer!
This fondant saved my butt when I made my son's first birthday cake! It was my first time making a fondant tiered cake and I thought I would be able to make my own fondant... nope! To get this dark and rich a color I would have spent a fortune on food coloring..and I'm sure it would have tasted awful! This chocolate fondant tastes like brownie batter! It was so easy to use and I love how the cake turned out!! You can see pics on my blog. http://lovelacefiles.blogspot.com/2013/05/our-sons-1st-birthday-part-1.html I also purchased the red...same results...amazingness!!

Dry and un-rollable
I ordered this to use to cover a whole cake. The smell is wonderful, it smells really good like a decadent tootsie roll. Rolling it however is like trying to roll a 2 year old tootsie roll. I kneaded the fondant for 15 minutes until it was softer but rolling was a nightmare. It was immediate "elephant skin" and super dry. I added a bit of shortening and no help at all. I ended up covering my cake and it tore horribly. I had to scrape it off and try 3x and ended up throwing the fondant in the trash. I had to tell my customer I couldn't finish her cake design and she had to choose something else. I was upset. I had to cut my cake price in half, essentially loosing money on the order. I paid her to take the cake off my hands. Can someone contact me about the dry fondant? Next time I will order straight from satin ice. I made the mistake thinking it was from the actual company but it's not. Learn from my lesson!
