Very informative and a good read
This book about the Eagles far exceeded my expectations. It covered the history of the group, brief biographies of each member, full discographies for the group and for each member's solo work. There is even a chapter about what kind of guitars each person uses, though curiously, nothing about Henley's drums. I could tell that the author made a true effort to be fair regarding the feuds--especially between Felder and Frey. The book was very honest about each person's faults and quirks. What you will not find is much in the way of personal information about private lives, which suited me fine. I did wish that there was a little more about Timothy B. Schmitt. Even though I've read a lot about the Eagles, I did learn some things. Well worth the price.

I recommend it good Eagles fans
I've been an EAGLES fan for over 40 years. Some things I already knew but was refreshed and some facts were new to me and interesting. I recommend it good Eagles fans. Note this is not a novel, more like text book and can be read anyplace.

Best Eagles Book I've Read
I've been an Eagles fanatic for most of my 50+ years and thought I knew everything about the band. This book proved me wrong. Author Andrew Vaughan covers all the bases, with background material on every member of the band, past and present, how they ended up joining, what they did before and after the Eagles, and how the band came to be and what REALLY caused the breakup. If you read just one book on the Eagles, it should be this one!

Music of the 60s and 70s
Very interesting book of the music scene from mid 60s to late 70s,and how intertwined the musicians, songwriters, and producers were during that period.

Troubadour to the History Of, and everything in between.
Best Eagles info and most up to date I have read.More of a steady companion than a tome.

Book about Henley
If you are primarily interested in Henley and Frey you will probably like this more than I did. It focuses on them almost exclusively with a good bit of coverage of the business end of things. If you are interested in the other band members you will be disappointed. Timothy B Schmit was barely mentioned and there was very little mention of any of their personal lives. Their partying and drug use was mostly glossed over. Just not very personal.
