Solid, well made. Typical Master lock!

I use it to lock my RV battery box. It’s “weatherproofing” seems well designed.

I've been through countless locks that have always froze up on me. -20 F wind, freezing rain, etc. This one so far has been the most robust and 'weather tight'. Hasn't failed me yet.

This lock is a replacement for the same model that was used outside for about 20 years, afterwards the yellow outside shell got cracked, and slid off, and I was reluctant to keep using the lock outside. So I ordered another, and duct taped the shell back around the old lock; lock still works fine, I'll find somewhere to use it.

For everything masterlock did right it is disappointing to see a 50 mm padlock with such a thin 8mm shackle.Nice weather proofing (except the color), ball bearing shackle, 4 spooled and 1 serrated driver pins, rekeyable core.The core is resistant to raking and bumping, however, anyone with experience single pin picking a lock, this lock will take less than 30 seconds to pick. Due to the core tension many novice pickers might not notice the lock has been picked and since the hasp won't pop open on its own it does a good job thwarting inexperience pickers. The lock is also difficult to tension top of the keyway due to how recessed the lock is and bottom of the keyway can bind the core. The core tension may even bend many cheaper tension wrenches. Overall, for a masterlock they did an alright job.

So far this lock has not frozen up in the freezing rain and snow storms. It is on an outside shed exposed to the elements. I like this lock a lot more the the previous one I bought last year. The previous one had movable gaskets on the shank and they would come off when I removed the shank from the hasp on the shed. I almost lost one of the gaskets. With this lock the gaskets are a molded part of the lock body - much better. I gave the other lock to a friend of my to use on a hasp he hardly ever opens. I would recommend this lock for harsh outside elements such as freezing rain, sleet and snow.PS - I really like the large solid key unlike most locks

I bought this lock to install on a shed in the backyard and wanted protection from the elements so the locking mechanism doesn't seize up. I've had this lock for a couple of months now and it still performs as expected with smooth opening and no issues at all. I'll update this review if anything changes but so far, it's a great lock.

I cannot believe there are any one, two and three-star ratings for this lock! This lock is freaking awesome and it will be the only outdoor weatherproof lock I will ever buy! When you get a brand new fence you have to get a brand new lock and this is the one to get without a doubt! Five stars all the way!!!

Calidad y robusto

Just received the padlock today, this lock come from Amazon US, far as I know it not stocked by many UK hardware stores. The lock is a laminated typed with a boron alloy shackle and covered in a yellow and black plastic. I believe it has 5 pins, which 4 are spools and 1 serrated, and comes with the 2 keys as standard. As you may notice in the photos, this was purchase for the purpose of lockpicking and not for securing anything, which I am happy to give 5 stars.

Good sturdy lock. Kept my Kayak locked on top of the truck all summer without any problems. Still works as good as new.

Buena relación costo bebeficio, aunque la marca no es de las mejores este candado en específico a probado ser bueno y de materiales aceptables. Cumple no es tan corriente como otros masterlock y no ha sido tan fácil de vulnerar para los amantes de lo ageno.
