measuring underneath the 1 tier shelf, what are the inside measurements? (height and width)

Keep in mind that there is a reinforcing wood piece under the front end of the shelf that goes from side to side. Under that piece, the clearance is 3-5/8" high by 21-7/8" wide. After that reinforcing piece of wood, the height increases to 4-7/8".

What are the measurements of the cubby space underneath?

Each of the cubbies underneath are 13 1/2" deep, 7" high, and 18" wide.

What material is this made of? is it real wood or mdf?

It is made from Manufactured wood.

Do i have to put the shelf in the middle or can i do it on the bottom to make a rectangle?

You don't have to put the shelf in the middle, but you would have to drill your own holes on the bottom of it to make it a rectangle. The predrilled holes are for the shelf at the top and the shelf in the middle.

The media could not be loaded. It was easy to assemble, especially for me who never assembled anything with wood or screws before. very simple and straightforward instructions. However, the decorative paper was already worn off and peeling in a few corners but otherwise it is perfect to be a monitor stand for a huge monitor like mine!!!
