Foruisin Manual Food Chopper, Easy & Powerful Hand Held Vegetable Chopper/Blender to Chop Fruits, Nuts, Herbs, Onions,Garlics,Salsa, Pesto, Coleslaw, Puree (30OZ)

I originally got on Amazon to buy a replacement for another chopper I bought on Amazon about 6 months ago (the previous chopper was a 'open the top, then press down'' type) which unfortunately proved to be poorly made. One of the blades broke, and it is extremely difficult to clean (the cleaning tool that came with it broke too), so I'm not even using it now.I had seen a manual string-pulled type of blender/chopper on Youtube, and I came to Amazon to buy that one, but after seeing the great reviews about the Foruisin Manual Food Chopper & noticing it had more blades, I decided to take a chance and bought it instead. I'm really glad I did! It really baffles how anyone would give this chopper a negative review. I've been using it for about a week and I've been blown away by what an amazing job it does in thoroughly chopping & blending vegetables. The blade is not fixed on either the lid or the bottom of the bowl, but I LIKE that it is a separate part because it makes it easier to clean. And to use this chopper really isn't difficult at all. First, set the blade into the bowl on top of the round raised guide it's supposed to sit on. Second, distribute your vegetables in and around the blade. Then third, set the top square part of the lid into the corresponding square opening on top of the blade, then just screw on the lid and start chopping. It's that simple. :) Because of it's small size you will need to pre-chop some larger vegetables (such as a large onion) to fit them in, but once you do that you can chop or mince them to the consistency you wish. I'm happy to give this awesome device a 5 star review. It's easy to use, easy to clean, and is a great buy for the price.

99% of the time I use this for onions because I value beyond what words can express that this is a self-contained vessel that allows me to get the tiny pieces I want without all the tears. It works great for other things too though: peppers, cucumbers, etc. The blades are sharp though so word of advice: keep the blades inside the closed container in the sink so you don't reach in and slice your finger. And there's a little bump in the bottom of the container for aligning the center column the blades are on; I didn't notice that at first so sometimes I would be unable to pull the cord, and thought it was because my chunks were too big. So as long as you do it right, it's great! :)

Extremely easy to use and clean. I was tired of wasting time chopping.. this took me less than 5 mins to chop the onion, rinse, chop the cilantro then clean again. Affordable and works!!

My original review was 1 star because the unit arrived with a cracked rim. I contacted the manufacturer, had a new unit in 4 days! Now the new chopper test. OMG! 3 Pulls took half a bunch of cilantro to 1 cup! Where has this been all my life? I LOVE IT!! Not only does this do a better job than I would do but it does a safer a job. I am 75 and my hands shake sometimes. My chopping knife is extremely sharp and I have been uneasy using it lately. I will retire it in favor of this new, better, faster, safer chopper. It's a win/win/win for me!!

I found that this unit did what it said it would do, BUT, once I cleaned it prior to my first use I found that putting it back together wasn’t easy. The blade section had a spot to go into but fell off the little post with any slight movement. Once I figured that I should hold the blade section while loading the veggies I wanted chopped, I found that you had to be careful what you put in because it pushed the blade off the tiny post that is supposed to secure the blade straight. This is a pain to set up. Once you finagle it closed, it works well. If I could return this I would. Too much trouble to get the whole thing set up. If others would like to tell me how they got this to work I would like the info. No info on the box. I would rather spend more money rather than deal with the blade issue on this.

I bought this for the office since I HATE chopping onions for tuna salad and noisy food processors annoy people. It's sturdy, very simple to take apart and clean and best of all, it works like a champ. It's well constructed and appears as if it will last a long, long time. It would be a smart addition for preppers too.The only suggestion I have to make it better would be if the bottom was made out of glass instead of plastic. It's so simple and quick that I may just buy a larger one for home. All in all an excellent value and I highly recommend it.

I love this thing! I wanted a small, simple chopper primarily for things like onions, green peppers, and boiled eggs, because i have some annoying problems with my hands and i always seem to mess up something or another when chopping. This chopper is really easy to use and I love the non-square shape of the pieces (makes 'em look more like someone other than I did it since I do such a crappy job with a knife), and i can have a variety of size pieces, or larger, or tiny pieces, depending on what I'm using them for. When my brother and I were kids and my mom made hot dogs for us, she diced the onions really small and beautifully, which is what initially prompted me to look for one of these... so I get reminded of those days, too. Because I might be able to do that kind of dicing with a knife, but it would take me a long time and the end result would look too much like salsa, what with all the blood and all.

Where have I been all my life how come I never thought of this tool??!! This is a great usable tool for chopping unions, cucumbers, etc. Looks exactly like in pictures - beautiful color too, it's like a classic pastel blue. The size is perfect not too big not too small. Very easy to clean. Blades are sharp. I love cooking but hate to chop things - this item is very useful I have been using it for almost everything all I have to do is pull the string for 2-3 times for coarsely chop and 4-5 times for more finely chop. It's like I just blink and everything is done. I highly recommend it! :):)

The chopper works fine. But the packaging is very misleading. It box says it contains a lid for storage and a mixer attachment. But inside only has chopper and missing the lid and mixer attachment. Contacted seller via email, I was told it was misprint and no replacement attachment was offered.

I’ve using it almost everyday to chop veggies and soya chinks and it works like a charm.I would definitely recommend the product.Usage Tips:1. Try not to fill the jar more than 90% full or else you’ll struggle chopping.2. Try not to keep the jar less than 10% full, because it will take more time and effort to chop.

Makes chopping a breeze! It does the job as advertised. It’s bigger than I expected, so it wouldn’t work very well with little amounts of stuff. Gotta at least fill up to the first few bottom blades. I’ve only used it for garlic and shallots so far and it’s great! Saves me lots of time from chopping by hand, but it makes my dog freak out whenever I pull the handle. Oh well. The blades are a bit awkward to wash by hand as i feel like I’m gonna slice my finger. So I pop the blade upside down on one of the knobs in the dishwasher top rack away from other things as it’s easier that way. I just don’t put the lid part in there as i feel like it may collect water around the mechanism inside. Would be better if the blade sits straight on the little knob in the bowl instead of wobbling around as you plop ingredients in.

I love that it is compact and doesn't take up a lot of space in my cupboard, but yet big enough to do the job. Very easy to use and clean. It chopped a medium sized onion and 2 garlic cloves in as little as 4 pulls. Loving this little unit so far.

I love this product, chopped celery onions and eggs no problem. So long as the string doesn't break I'm laughing.
