Machining Must Haves
Nice. Especially for Chinese tooling. Well ground, nice edges, no garbage hand grinding, etc. I checked them with a dial indicator and the straightest bar I could find in my bridgeport, and found pretty much immeasurable run out on a 1/2 thou indicator. They read nice and straight down the length of the bar too. Unless you are grinding with them, they should be plenty accurate. Regular collet closer is a bit eh but it works. I've had the rings slip a few times but it could be just the collets I'm using. It did not come with a spanner, and I generally tap my 4 inch lightly with a deadblow to ensure it will not slip.If you're new to machining, GET THESE. It's no fun grabbing and tramming a dividing head just to make a square or hex, if you even had a dividing head. These turn hard to do operations into easy no-brainers.

These seem to work well. The collet closer attachment works quite nicely, and when locked I can lay the blocks in my mill vise, but your stock cannot be extended past the back end of the collet. The included nuts are slightly smaller than the external dimensions of the blocks, so using them you can chuck these in a lathe with the stock going through the spindle as far as needed. But no spanner wrench was included with the purchase, and the one they sell just looks too expensive to me. The nuts are knurled, so I have been tightening them using some water-pump pliers with a cloth to avoid marring them. Since they don't need to be super tight (a little more than hand tight though) this had been good enough.

I would recommend this tool
Although this is an import tool it is well made and finished. I have not done any detailed measurements but my 5C collets fit well and the nut and closer secure the collets properly. I used it to machine and index some stainless steel shafts with with very small ( 3/32") carbide tools and did not have any vibration issues. I originally thought 4 stars because it did not include a wrench but the value at this price point is still very good. Order this --JW Winco A54932 Black Finish Steel Hook Spanner Wrench-- at the same time and you will have a nice set.

great!
Caveat: I just opened the box and I don't have a collet here at home to test the fit.BUT... These collet blocks are beautifully machined. I was expecting your average import 60 grit ground finish with cut-your-finger sharp edges with burrs everywhere. This is not what I got... I got a pair of blocks with a super fine ground finish and every edge broken, no sharp edges. The only nit I have on the blocks is the set screw that keeps the collet from spinning is pretty low grade. I've got some hex flats to mill on the end of a 1" bar tomorrow, so I'll be able to report back on operation tomorrow

As expected. Great price. I did find the threads are a little rough But itโs from China.

Works fine. Seems accurate enough. Wish it came with a spanner.

Just fine for my home shop
Just fine for my home shop. It works well using the nuts to tighten the Collet, but the lever is hard to adjust and comes loose without warning. This is OK with me because my small mini mill usually does not have room to set up the lever anyway. You guys with full size equipment trying to do production work may find this a problem

Nice tools. Nice finish quality on blocks
Nice tools. Nice finish quality on blocks. The cam lock is pretty useless. I bought a HHIP 3900-0594 ER-25 (38-42mm) Spanner Hook Wrench off of Amazon. The tooth needs to be filed or ground down to fit the collar holes, but works good once that fits.
