The most fun I have had dying repeatedly
Elden Ring isn’t just a game—it’s a lifestyle, a spiritual journey, and a masterclass in humility. From the moment you step foot in the beautifully desolate Lands Between, you’ll realize two things: 1) You are woefully unprepared for what’s coming, and 2) You will love every second of it. The open world is gorgeous. It lures you in with breathtaking views, only to sucker-punch you with a boss fight when you least expect it. One minute, you’re marveling at a golden tree; the next, a dragon is breathing fire in your face. It’s like the game is saying, “Oh, you thought this was a sightseeing tour? That’s cute.” Combat? Oh boy. It’s brutal, unforgiving, and ridiculously satisfying. Every victory feels like you’ve conquered Mount Everest, and every defeat teaches you a valuable lesson, like “Don’t taunt the giant.” Pro tip: when the game gives you the option to “run,” take it. That’s not cowardice—it’s strategy. The NPCs are weird and cryptic in the best way. One moment, they’re offering vague advice; the next, they’re laughing at your demise. Thanks, Melina. Really helpful. But honestly, the story is so intriguing that you’ll find yourself piecing together lore like a detective who’s also really bad at dodging. And the customization? Chef’s kiss. Want to wield a giant sword and wear armor that makes you look like a walking tank? Go for it. Prefer sneaking around in a cloak, stabbing enemies in the back? Have at it. Elden Ring lets you be the hero—or chaotic gremlin—you’ve always wanted to be. Sure, the game is hard, but it’s fair. Every death feels like your fault, which is both humbling and hilarious. I’ve screamed at my TV more than I’d like to admit, but the sheer joy of finally beating that one boss? Pure ecstasy. If you’re looking for an unforgettable adventure, a challenge that’ll test your patience (and TV durability), and a world that feels alive in the most haunting way, Elden Ring is a must-play. 12/10 would rage-quit and come back five minutes later.

Biggest turn around on a game ever!
As a person who’s never played a Souls game the experience of walking into this and getting my ass handed to me nonstop was absolutely miserable. Death lurked around every corner and certain decisions completely closed me off to certain rewards. Progressing seemed so slow and I was going nowhere. Got so frustrated with it that I set the game aside for six months. My friends kept telling me to keep giving it a shot but I would simply refuse. Until one rainy day when I said “ah what the hell let’s give it another shot” and wouldn’t you know it the game just completely sucked me in. Once you get to a certain level and learn how to distribute your skill points the game becomes so much fun. There is nothing more satisfying than encountering enemy types you were frustrated with early in the game and just completely demolishing them later on. The world is rich and packed with things to do and the boss fights are absolute dynamite. Difficulty starts ramping up again by the last 3rd of the game but by then you should be well equipped for it. If you find yourself irritated with the difficulty trust when I tell you that it’s worth sticking it out till the first major story boss. If you manage to do that then you’ll definitely start having a blast. An absolute masterpiece! If we ever get an Elden Ring 2 I will absolutely be purchasing it!

A Stunning and Epic Adventure Game That Will Keep You Engaged for Hours on End
As a fan of action role-playing games, I was eagerly awaiting the release of Elden Ring on PlayStation 4. And let me tell you, this game has exceeded all of my expectations. From the moment I started playing, I was captivated by the game's breathtaking world and rich lore. The game is set in a vast, interconnected world filled with ancient ruins, hidden secrets, and fantastical creatures. The attention to detail in the environment design is truly impressive, with every area feeling unique and alive. But what really sets Elden Ring apart is its gameplay. The combat is fast-paced and exhilarating, with a variety of weapons and spells to choose from. The boss battles are epic and challenging, requiring careful strategy and precise timing to defeat. And the character customization options are extensive, allowing you to tailor your play style to your preferences. But perhaps the most impressive aspect of Elden Ring is its story. The game is developed by FromSoftware, the same studio behind the critically acclaimed Dark Souls series. And like those games, Elden Ring's story is told through subtle environmental clues, cryptic dialogue, and haunting imagery. It's a story that rewards careful exploration and attention to detail, and one that will keep you engaged for hours on end. Overall, I would highly recommend Elden Ring to anyone who is looking for a deep, immersive adventure game that will keep them engaged and entertained for hours on end. It's a stunning masterpiece that combines excellent gameplay, rich lore, and breathtaking visuals to create an experience that is truly unforgettable. So, if you're a fan of action role-playing games, don't hesitate to pick up Elden Ring on PlayStation 4 and prepare for an epic journey like no other.

Brutal but so great
I got the PS4 version for my PS5 because the framerate is better. I am new to Elden Ring and went in playing totally blind to any walkthroughs. I have died about 30 times already. I love it.

Only fun if you enjoyed the Dark Souls games!
I would argue from the perspective that if you played & enjoyed the Dark Souls games then you will most likely enjoy Elden Ring. I have played enough of Elden Ring to really enjoy it. I’ve beat DS1 with joy, D2 was boring IMO, & I beat DS3 twice(NG+), so I can see how the Souls games & Elden Ring compare. Most people complain about the graphics or lack of story line, yet, if you let the game speak for itself & attempt to figure out the Game Creators intent for the game then it may hold more sway with being actual entertainment for you. If you come into Elden Ring without being familiar with the Dark Souls games or even Sekiro (made by FROMSOFTWARE) then you will not understand the design & purpose of Elden Ring. This game is made to have its own challenges just like DS1 & DS3, only in the souls games they were more campaign & story lined based. In Elden Ring there is more of a “feeling” that the campaign is SO stretched that you really feel like you’re own your own unless you look at the wiki for directions on certain occasions, or if you play the game with siblings & communicate (like me). The fact that Elden Ring is Open World makes this game radically different than the Souls Games. This dynamic makes you more of a explorer/adventurer type than a mere “character” following a well understood script.. There are also Bosses in Elden Ring that have a similarity to the Dark Souls bosses, which gives the game a comfortable familiarity & source of fun; yet it doesn’t quite feel like the Souls series. It certainly looks, feels, & has the appearance (graphics wise) of being worthy of the name “Dark Souls 4” but it’s also different enough that it seems more like Skyrim. I’ve played Skyrim extensively in the past, I would argue that (in my opinion) Elden Ring is more fun than Skyrim. In Skyrim you felt more in tune to characters & there was much more developed dialogue from the NPC’s. In Elden Ring there is Dialogue from some characters throughout the world; yet it’s not quite like a campaign. The bosses in this game are what is more rewarding than “mere chat” with the NPC’s. Elden Ring’s graphics don’t appear next gen to me, but they suffice to keep me entertained. They are also “good enough”, at least for me. Many people who complain about this game & it’s graphics/storyline, etc, have a right to their opinion & experience, but for me this game is awesome & familiar. I would recommend buying Elden Ring primarily if you have played other FROMSOFTWARE games, if you haven’t, then it’s a “hit or miss” shot for you with this purchase.

Little too complicated, but overall fun
Although I do like playing my PC games, I picked the PS4 version of this so I could play at night while winding down. The game doesn't offer much in terms of context. You're sort of thrown into a story already taking place without you...which is cool. However, the learning curve is steep in regard to button movements and the tutorials are short and only pop up once. The game dynamics are not as fluid as the Horizon series which in my opinion are 5-stars. Saving your game is also not an option in the traditional sense. Each time your character rests, it's sort of a save, but if they die in the field, you lose all your progress and runes and resets the map. This causes a lot of frustration, because typically the character gets killed in a situation where retrieving your belongings will only get you killed again (i.e. fighting a boss.) So, a tip for new players: run around the base map and fight all the guards and smaller critters until you level up to at least level 20. Then perhaps start exploring caves, etc. This will help in teaching basic moves. Also, be sure to use your steed often. This was a game changer for me early on. You will die often, so make sure the runes collected are used to level up as often as possible at the sites of grace.

2 excelentes alternativas a Elden Ring mucho más accesibles y relajantes serían: Immortals Fenix Rising o The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.
