FTCE Elementary Education K-6 Practice Test 1

I bought both Practice Book 1 and 2. They are a bit harder than the exam- which is good in a way. The reading portion had some questions that really had 2 good answers and picking the "best" one was more of an opinion. Also, I found 1 spelling error , some typos, and 2 math errors. The books have the question restated with the answer and a brief explanation in the back. There was one question in Practice Book 2 that had totally different numbers in the original question compared to the restated one, so getting the correct answer was impossible. It was the one about 2 men traveling a certain distance/time (number 23). With another math error, I checked with two friends, a math professor, AND a 'median calculator' online several times. It's the Practice Test book 1, question 25 about the median of a set of numbers. There could have been more faults that I didn't notice--eek. These issues made me question credibility and accuracy. The print makes it a little hard to see negative signs on some questions, so really look. One looks like a teeny tiny spec in a question in book 2 (-5). Maybe it was just me, but many math answers had terrible explanations. I found that frustrating. Thank God for Google and Kahn Academy online. I do however like how it really got your brain in test-taking mode and reviewed many different concepts. I recommend it only as a supplement though. I bought a few different books and this one gives more questions as practice. I just passed the exam! This book is good for after you have studied and are familiar with content. It gives detailed answers in back.
