1GB RAM Memory Upgrade for The Dell Inspiron 530, 530s, 531, 531s, 546 (DDR2-800, PC2-6400)

I have a Dell Inspirion 530, and i was a little hesitant about buying this ram upgrade. Ive never upgraded any computer components before and wasn't totally sure this ram would work. I was also afraid i would need a new power supply. Well, i took a small risk and bought this ram. Took a few minutes to install, then i started up the computer. There was a increase in performance (i had 1gb ram now 2gb), and i didn't experience any problems. If your wondering if you need a power supply upgrade first, you actually never have to upgrade your power supply when increasing RAM, only if your buying a new video card or new processor or something. So yeah, i have a Dell Inspirion 530, i installed this easily despite the fact i never touched the inside of a computer before, it works with no problems and is a good performance increase. 5 stars!

I knew that I needed to ugrade my Dell desktop that I purchased in 2007, and I didn't want to purchase a brand new PC. When I saw that the memory upgrade was as reasonable as it was, and that I could upgrade my pc for less than $50, I decided why not. This is my second GB of RAM I've purchased from this vendor. I have reached my RAM upgrade limit and I am extremely happy with the results. Now I can wait a couple more years before I have to purchase a new desktop.

I purchased this ram stick and when it got to my house I plugged it in and when I went to boot it up it gave my desktop a POST error and wouldn't allow it to boot up. I contacted the seller and he responded quickly and sent me a replacement stick and even covered the shipping for me to send the faulty stick back to him. The second stick he sent me back worked perfectly. It was a minor inconvenience, but seller provided excellent and prompt customer service.

Works OK. I got it for a neighbor's old Vista machine to try and give it a little more life. Good price and decent delivery time. Would buy from them again.

Just like describe

The memory cards came sooner that expected and they were wrapped securely. Unfornately my computer could not use some of the extra memory due to the limitions of Windows XP. I am told that a 64 bit operating system would accomodate more memory. Since my computer is about three years old. I will check into the capacity of a new one or the availabity of a more advanced system for my present computer.I would use this merchant again.

Just what the old Dell needed to run again. I guess WIndows grows each time you get an update. The machine is using about 1.5 gigabytes just to run Windows and it only had 1G originally. Now it is running again as fast as new (for an older machine).
