12" long custom handmade leather sheath for 6"—7" cutting blade knife

Nice stitching, leather came oiled, not dry, with is a big difference between this and other inexpensive sheaths I've bought.I'm taking off one star for two things.First, the buffer between the top and bottom leather seems to be a synthetic foam material that's just a bit too soft for this purpose - a well sharpened knife can cut through nearly any leather sheath if put in wrong, but this material makes it much easier, and if it cuts through the stitches, the whole thing will slowly start coming apart. I don't have any problem with them using synthetic spacer material, it just needs to be a tougher material to be in the same build quality as the rest of the sheath, which is very robust.Second, the strap that secures the knife is a very very tight fit if the guard has any bulk to it. One of the two I bought I actually had to stretch for a time to get to fit at all. I understand it's difficult with a one size fits all item, but only very, very thin guards will be accommodated by this.Overall I really like these, they just have two very minor but annoying shortcomings.

the sheath showed up 23 days late, but amazon would not allow me to cancel the order. so I purchased another one in the mean time, and by the time it showed up I had no use for it and returned it. but the quality was good, the leather was very stiff, good workmanship, but it is very large.

Was not expecting pkg. until January 1st, or later. What a wonderful surprise, and in time for Christmas 🎄

Perfect fit for my 60 year old Bowie. The original leather sheath had come apart so I was very happy to find this replacement. It is heavy, thick leather which should last few long time.

Looks black, definately brown. Has a very western-y look to it. Seems to be good quality and craftsmanship. Definately not what I wanted or expected though.

Good sturdy leather, welted construction, and I got it super fast. Great value, very satisfied.
