Dead Ringer 4-5 Pen Bow Sight | Aluminum Frame Sight with Light and Glow in The Dark Top Pen

Nice for the price
This sight fit right on my Mathews bow. After placing the pins where I wanted them, it took about 6 shots to hone in on the 20 yd target. Quick and easy pin adjustment. I don't think you can beat it for the price....and it seems well built. The light is very bright and not sure if it wouldn't partially blind a dark thirty shot. I plan on placing some type of filter on it to squelch it down a bit....the brightness is not adjustable. The good thing is that you can turn it on and then off and it causes the first pin to stay somewhat illuminated....sort of like a tritium sight. That's how I'm going to use it. So if you are looking for a perfect illuminated sight pin, you might want to look for a different, less obtrusive lighted sight....my two cents.

Very nice sight and reasonably priced
I replaced a Trophy Ridge 4 pin sight that required Allen keys to adjust with this sight. It adjusts easily with positive clicks, has a very good sight picture and was easy to sight in. It doesn't seem to vibrate or move and holds adjustment well. The light is removable which is nice. I had to adjust it nearly all of the way up to sight the 20 yard pin in with my set-up, but it did work. Similar tool-less adjustment sights easily cost more than double what this on sells for. Quality fit and finish.

Design flaw
Let's start with the good. The materials of this product are good and the price is great. I like the level placement and the orange ring. Also the sight adjustments were great with the knobs. Could use an arrow or something for left right up down but I figured it out with righty tighty lefty loosey. I'm not sure what all the extra screws and plastic spacers are for though. Now here comes the bad. I took my old sight off put this one on. I ended up all the way left with my arrows still way left. So I moved my rest a little just to get on target. Then I noticed you don't even see the whole circle around the pins because of a design flaw. This really takes away from the sight picture. I couldn't find any way to fix itI don't know whether to send it back without the box or just keep it as a spare out case move breaks.

(Mostly) Good Design, Bad Materials
I bought this sight as I couldn't justify spending half the price of a new bow on a big-name multi pin slider. The design is good aside from a locking nut that blocks access to the individual pins' allen screws, as stated in another review. The sight performed well enough to make me not want to go back to a fixed pin sight. The only downside is that the metal that this sight is constructed with must be fairly soft, as I've stripped one of the pins' threads and the threads that allow for the sight tape pointer adjustment. I've torqued screws for dozens of bow accessories and feel confident that I wasn't over-tightening. I suppose the money for a nicer sight is seen in the materials; I've now got an HHA Optimizer on the way after catching a good deal, and I wish I had done that in the first place. I suppose this sight would work if you're EXTREMELY careful when tightening things down.

The sight pips are very clear and slide easily when loosened to adjust
Very solidly constructed (steel?) unit. The previous sight on my bow was part of a package deal and was starting to slip (the plastic jaws seem to wear down and can no longer grip the elevation slide) so I was looking for something new. The sight pips are very clear and slide easily when loosened to adjust, the tool-less adjustment works great with index markings and discrete clicks. The pins are smaller than most bowhunting sight pins which I personally prefer, but the non-dovetail version of this sight has the bigger pins if that's what you're looking for.

Excellent value Sight
Despite being relatively light weight for a dovetail, the site overall is very sturdy. There is no observable slop in the dovetail joint when everything is snugged down. The locking clamps and adjusters operate easily and have a positive-feeling detent system to adjust by, and the light is adjustable & brightThe only reason I am giving it 4 stars is because they should find a cleaner way to route the fibers. I keep feeling as though i am going to snag something on them and ruin my day.

not a bad price for an accurate micro adjust
setup and install easy. once you have your bow tuned and your 20 and 40 yards are accurate then simply move other pins so the space is equal between them all and your set. the light shines everywhere including your eyes. a dimmer control or better light shielding would be nice. overall a steal for the price.

Adjustable
I bought this after I went on an axis hunt in south Texas. I had one come out at 57 yrds and at the time all I had was a 20, 30, and 40 yrd pin. So I bought this so that if this happens again I have the ability to take that shot. Works great. Just wish there were instructions on how to set it up. But after some playing with it and youtubing I got it setup
