Bye Bye Sebaceous Filaments!
Sebaceous filaments. I have had the worst time with sebaceous filaments (SF) and used to use the biore pore strips to clear them out. I learned that those strips are harsh for you skin (they can damage the outer layer by ripping it off as well) and that they don't treat SF's, but just clear out what is there allowing them to fill up again in no time. The kind people over at r/skincareaddiction recommended stridex red as a chemical exfoliator. It is alcohol-free for those with more sensitive skin, or those who don't want to use alcohol on their face. It is 2% salicylic acid which is the strongest concentration you can get over-the-counter. BHA's are great for those with acne-prone skin or oily skin (me).I was impressed with the results after just 2 days use. I had a ton of SF's below my lip and around my nose and makeup didn't help to hide them and probably made them more visible. Now, after using stridex red there are no SF's that protrude under my lip or around my nose. I also haven't broken out in a long time! Now, I still have SF's and you can see them if you grab a magnifying mirror and get really close, but they are not visible to the naked eye and my skin is no longer textured due to SF's. I recommend this product if you're looking for a BHA, just be sure to do your research ahead of time to find the right product for your face. Also, if you want to use stridex but don't want to start with maximum strength they offer 2 other products: Stridex Medicated Pads, Sensitive, 55 Count and Stridex Daily Care Essential with Vitamins 55 pads however I have not used this products so I can't comment on their effectiveness.Additional items to note:- It is recommended that you ease this product into your nightly routine until you are doing it daily (I started doing it daily and had no problems, but experiment with what works well with your skin!)- Let the product sit on your skin anywhere from 5 - 20 minutes before moisturizing afterwards (salicylic acid does have a drying effect)- It is recommended that those with allergies to aspirin shouldn't use products with salicylic acid.

Works like a charm !!
This is nothing but a BHA with salicylic acid just 2% I guess to keep your breakouts in control. This is pretty strong stuff, for some it may be wonderful but for those who have acne prone sensitive skin who may want to use it on alternate. If you use an AHA or something like Vit C in your routine then I don't recommend you using this product with it. Spread out your AHA (eg Vit C in morning) with this product (BHA May be in night)These are quite dipped in the solution. I swipe my face with the pad once wait for like 2-3 mins and swipe again. I feel like simply using it once is a waste of my money cause there's so much solution still remaining in pads. Be sure to moisturize these can be drying. The effect is best seen at the end of almost 25-30 days for simple reason the cell turnover rate on our skin is 30 days. But it works

Oily /combination sensitive acne prone skin
I have tried clean and clear triple action foam cleanser with salicylic acid it left me with peeling bleeding face. I was a bit scared to try these pads because back in the day they were for severe acne. I have mild acne and some times cystic bumps . This product cleared my skin along with thayers toner and cerave foaming cleanser and neutrogena oil free moisturizer. I still get bumps but not painful cyst also drinking water. It is a crime how cheap it is. I only use this 3 times a week because I do t want to over dry my skin. I wish I tried these 16 years ago I could have avoided breakouts and scarring. But at least I found them and they help my skin in one week.

a cult classic that pulled through for me
Yes! I started obsessing over many skin care things in February or so, and almost committed to trying Paula's Choice BHA liquid, or the Cosrx BHA liquid. Both are like 3x the price of stridex, and about evenly-reviewed, it seems. I still haven't tried the other two. I made sure to do my research about trying to lower my skin's pH before applying this product, and it has really made a difference. I feel it has changed the texture of my forehead and jaw areas, and has decreased my sebaceous filaments on my nose. I cut these into thirds and use one piece on my forehead and jaw (my cheeks are dry and not as acne-prone, so I leave them alone), and one piece on the backs of my arms for my keratosis pilaris (kp, the arm bumps). While I still have some kp, Stridex has helped both already. I wish I took before and after pictures

They do a good job.
Don't know about sensitive skin however the pads remove excess oil that had been clogging my pores. They work well.

Great for mosquito bites
Helps relieve itchiness better than any other remedy I’ve tried. Just wish it could eliminate the mosquitoes!
