Buy that used softener
I purchased a rather expensive water softener second hand for a really good price. It worked fine but after using ResCare, I'm so glad I didn't pay full price for the same unit. I'd recommend this for anyone with a less than adequate water softener.

Didnt work for my water softener
I tried this several times using 1/2 cup OR 1 full cup according to instructions and regenerated my softener immediately. Im thinking my resin beads in the softener are totally gummed up because there was no difference in the water after regeneration was complete with being hard and slight taste of iron to it. My softener is over 6 yrs old and was hoping to get it rejuvenated using this method. Alas, there is an end to all things, I reckon. Guess next step will be to buy a new softener. We tried this treatment first, though.

Water Softener Working Like New
After treating my water softener with Pro Products ResCare RK02B All-Purpose Water Softener Cleaner the resin beads (that remove minerals) are working like new. In addition, the city water smells better (less swampy). I also used the Sani System Sanitizer. When I run my home water distiller on my city water I no longer get a pile of minerals at the bottom (calcium, magnesium, etc.). The only residue at the bottom of my distiller is an reddish oily smelly liquid.

Fast free shipping, useful product
Have been using ResCare to keep the resin in my water softener iron-free for several years. Seems to work, because the softener continues to work effectively and efficiently in an area with much iron in the well water.

Does what it says. Can't beat the price.
Does what it says. Can't beat the price.The first time I used it I accidentally put one cup in instead of a half a cup which my softener called for. The next morning I could taste it in the water so I know it was actually doing something. I just regenerated the softener again and then the taste was gone. Happy with the product. Happy with the price.

Much more economical
So much easier to buy this than a bunch of tiny bottles. Works great in my system! Definitely recommend!!
