I love these little packets. They have a slit for ease of of opening, and each packet is for 2 cps of water, a good amount for one regular size floral arrangement, so there is little waste. It is important to dilute it in the right amount of water. It is also “marked “ universal” so it is safe for all kinds of flowers. I change the water and cut the stems every two to three days, and use a new packet with fresh water, Once i started using them, i noticed my flowers were lasting much longer then they used to without the packet. We buy the inexpensive local supermarket bouquets, which are not the freshest, and they can last up to two weeks, some even longer depending on the kind of flower. The lilies in this picture are going on their second week and these flowers were the buds that were closed when we first bought the bouquet, They opened up nicely, and smelled wonderful. I enjoy removing the dying flowers from the bouque and rearranging them, so that they take on a new appearance each time I refresh and feed them. I use 2 packets at a time.

I added this quick-dissolving food to filtered water for my cut flowers. They gasped as their stems, cut underwater at a 45 degree angle, plunged into a scrubbed and disinfected (nothing kills cut flowers faster than dust, and bacteria) vase of it. They straightened. They sighed. They expanded and vibrated their colors. They preened. Now they demand it every other day. If I try to fob them off with plain filtered water, they sulk. They drop acidic pollen, ruining my wood furniture. They droop in less than 10 days. So I must give them Chrysal water. After all, I love hearing everyone I give a bouquet to gush about how long it lasts. (I give them a couple packets, too.)

We have seen a significant increase in the longevity as well as color brilliance in our fresh cut flowers of differing varieties. Hard to beat the price for the quantity and the ease of use is great. We would definitely repurchase and would recommend to others as well.
