They stand behind their product
I had an issue with the mason bee house once I unpacked it. I emailed them and they returned my email the next day and we resolved the issue. It is great to deal with a company than stands behind their product and works with the consumer to do whatever they can to resolve the issue. Very satisfied.

Awesome!
Our Mason needs love these bee houses, so we now have five of them ready for the Spring! Please help the native mason bees and give them safe well made homes to nest in because they will thank you by pollinating all your flowers and veggies.

Mason bees
The mason bee house looks sturdy and just right for mason bees. This is the first time we’ve tried to do this.

Broken and missing pieces- going back
I purchased a warehouse deal, and generally when it says “item will come repackaged”, that means the product is in decent shape. Not true this time. One cedar tray is broken, and two are completely missing. And I’ve tried to get the lid to close several times but clearly the dowel that came with it is not the one that originally came with the unit. IThis one is at least half an inch too long.

Poor quality, but the bees didn't care
I read the reviews, which said that there were splinters and rough spots in the construction. I didn't care and planned to sand it and then line it with parchment paper. That being said, the quality was lower than my low bar. In addition to the splinters, several of the trays had cracks in them which made it hard to put them back into the house. I took a picture of the worst one, where a knot in the wood broke off and the side had a crack in it. I can't remember if I cleaned the splinters off this tray or not. Anyhow, I gave this two stars because after my hard work, the bees are filling it up. It's made of real wood and I think it's cedar, so that's a plus too.

Poor construction, mediocre at best product.
I’m sure the product will work but the product is poorly made. I ordered two and one didn’t come with the top inset table sheet that closes off the last section. The wood fits very poorly and the channels do not close off on the back side like they’re supposed to. All in all, I’ll need to doctor them up. Looks like it’ll be mediocre in the rain. Would strongly recommend you look to this company’s competitor and give them your money instead. :)

Rotting Roof
Our bee barn was great until it rained, then the roof of it started to rot where the seam of the two board is connected. We will have to make a new roof.

Nice solitary bee hotel
Well made so that each section can be removed in late summer to over winter the cocoons. Only down side was that I needed to sand down all the little drawers as the wood was very rough, once sanded it will be perfectly fine for the solitary bees to use. could also do with the lid being a bit more waterproof on top( I will put some shed felt on it)

Sanding required but otherwise ok
Good construction apart from the sections inside which needed sanding

Not all that well built
We bought one of these and put it up on a wall in the garden. We thought the bees would love it, so ordered two more. No bees came to that first one although they did come to the older bamboo bee houses next to it. Reading the write-ups from others and seeing that the bee houses were rather rough inside, we sanded the channels to remove that roughness. But even now the bees don't seem to be wanting to use it, so we are left with the other two. We had drilled them for hanging, so can't return them. Reading the write-ups from other people again I saw that there was some criticism. I would add to that by saying that they are not particularly well made, we will have to re-cover the roof part of it and put a couple of screws in the side where some of the wood didn't meet properly. We have now decided to remove the layers of wood from the house, leaving it empty, and we will fill that to capacity with new bamboo canes, which the bees seem to prefer. A bit of an expensive lesson, but at least the houses should now get some use. A great shame that a little more care was not taken with these attractive looking bee houses, which are not cheap.Adding a PS on 1st June 2021 - we left the bee houses up since the last comments above, hoping that the bees might just like them, but even now, no bees will use the three houses we bought. They look at it, but won't enter to use it. Wonder if the wood has been treated? Can't think why they are avoiding it. So now plan B, the bamboo canes. Watch this space!

Poor design and quality
Poor quality and design. Bad cut and finish water will run down behind hinge and enter nest. The hole for the pole enters the nest chambers. I'll be returning and getting another easibee which is smaller but excellent quality.
