Night By Noble Plastic Ocarina Green Ac

I was a little anxious about purchasing this because there aren't many reviews on Amazon, but after reading some awesome reviews from sites such as The Ocarina Network I decided to go for it instead of the ever-popular Focalink Plastic AC Ocarina.... AND I'M SO GLAD THAT I DID! This ocarina is absolutely amazing, and sounds almost as good as the ceramic ones - in fact, some people I know claim that the difference in sound is barely noticeable. The color is great and it is far more comfortable than the Focalink Plastic AC (which my significant other owns and I have played and tested in the past). It also has a glossy finish, whereas the Focalink one is more matte. The surface of this oc is curved and fits comfortably in your hands. The Focalink feels more rigid, even though it has bevels around certain holes and the Noble doesn't. The breath pressure for both are similar but the Noble makes a much brighter, clearer and louder tone! Also, being plastic it is easy to clean. I am extremely satisfied with this ocarina.The only 'con' about this product is that you can see in some places where pieces of the mold were pressed together to form it - there are odd creases and subtle lines. These are barely noticeable and do not affect playing, but if you are very strict about aesthetics it might bother you a little. Also, the glossy finish of the plastic means that it will show scuffs and scratches better than a matte finish. But even with these cons, I would not have chosen any other ocarina.This is really the perfect beginner ocarina!

Now I haven’t played other plastic ocarinas, however this one seems great! It is easy to play and sounds really nice. I have used it almost every day since I have purchased it and I have had almost no issues. There is one oddity however. It looks like there are scratches on the holes, I think it has to do with something when it is molded because it is consistent and does not modify the sound from the instrument.

I'm not one for plastic instruments, but Cris Gale told me I should get me one of these, and that she also tells all of her students to do the same. I decided to take her advice and go ahead and give it a try, and I wanted an ocarina I could carry around with me that was virtually indestructible. I was not disappointed!! It is hard to believe this is plastic. It plays like some of the very best ceramic ones. Even the highest note, the dreaded F6 plays loud and clear. What a pleasure to play. Noble has a reputation for making very good ocarinas, and this one is no exception. And BTW, this is a great price on Amazon at only $30 at the time of my purchase. I've seen them go for twice as much on other sites. If you're serious about your ocarina, or even just a beginner, I'm sure you'll love this ocarina.

After reading many reviews, I talked my child into this one vs. a replica due to sound quality. I'm glad I did, the sound quality it outstanding, he loves it, and plays it everyday. He was even invited to play it for music class at school. It is a real instrument. Also, the string hole is nice. He is able to wear it around his neck, and placement of the whole on the outside of the instrument keeps it from affecting the sound. It seems very durable so far, even though it has been knocked around quite a bit, it still looks and plays like new.

I was surprised when get got this and the color was so vibrant. The sound is amazing 😍
