Baby Shower Gift
I gave this book to one of my friend's for her baby shower and then had to go buy another one for myself as it has many great activities for baby and parents to do together to help their developing brains at all stages. It's a must if your having a baby! Highly recommended.

5*. I now gift this to all new parents that I love.
I used an older edition for my child, who turned out highly gifted...was it the book? Who knows! What I can say is, yes the exercises are obvious but this forces tired parents who just can't think to play a vast range of nurturing games with their baby. I buy this for all new parents since as I loved the expression that would come over my baby when I tried a new game. 5*

Some new ideas (and some obvious ones too!)
I picked this one having reviewed similar books as I felt it looked more comprehensive and focused on the first 12 months rather than trying to address toddlers in the same book. Some of the ideas are pretty obvious (to fill some pages I guess!) but I found quite a few that were new to me that have been working well with my baby (and I have adapted some too). The book is broken down into sections for newborns - 3 months, 3-6 months, 6-9 months and 9-12 months. He's only 4 months, so I can't vouch for whether the ideas work beyond that age range!

Mostly common sense
Do you really need instructions on how to play peek-a-boo?Certainly not worth the full retail price, but might contain a couple of useful ideas if you get it 2nd hand or borrow from the library.
