A surprisingly usable Windows 10 machine that you can update to Windows 10 version 1903
This is a surprisingly decent Windows 10 Home computer that is well-suited for travel and off-site tech support. Most low-end machines run Windows 10 S -- basically a crippled version of Windows 10 -- which only allows you to install programs from the Microsoft Store, and only allows you to use the Microsoft Edge browser. But Windows 10 Home lets you install whatever software your heart desires (so long as the machine can handle it).The magnetic cover doubles as a keyboard and prop stand. The keys are spaced comfortably enough to allow for speedy typing once you get used to the compact layout. The 11.6" display area is full HD (1920 x 1080), and is remarkably bright and sharp. You'll probably want to use one of Windows' display zoom settings to avoid having to squint at icons that are about 1/4" tall. A USB-C to HDMI adapter is provided, presumably to connect this computer to a larger monitor. I haven't tried it.Speakers: about the best you can say for them is that they are present. To me, they sound like little pieces of tin foil with wires soldered to them. Headphones will give you markedly better sound quality, but let's just say if you want to listen to music at your desk, stick to your smartphone or full-size laptop computer. The dual-core 1.1 GHz Celeron CPU can feel a bit poky at times, so be patient and give the machine an extra few seconds after you click something before you re-click thinking it didn't take. :-)Likewise, the 4 GB RAM is the rock-bottom amount I'd consider running Windows 10 on. And the main storage (drive C:) is tight at 32 GB -- it's just enough to contain the OS plus a few applications -- but being solid state memory, it should be less prone to failure from impact shocks than a hard drive. And you can easily expand the machine's onboard storage capacity by inserting a 64GB or larger microSD card in the provided slot. Format the card to NTFS, and it becomes your drive D:. Then you can configure Windows to install most programs onto that drive so as not to clutter up C:.I wouldn't try to tax this thing by running development or graphics tools on it. Stick to web-based tools, or drive-based tools that don't require a lot of bloated frameworks hanging off of them. For instance, Notepad++ runs fine, but the computer balked at running Visual Studio Code -- its required components chewed up too much space on drive C: and couldn't be installed on D:. (** UPDATE ** The portable version of VS Code can be installed on Drive D:, and it runs just fine, if a little bit slow.)The free office suite WPS Office also runs without problem on the Nuvision. I'm sure Microsoft Office would fare just as well. And Cygwin runs well from drive D:, but I wouldn't bother with any program that depends on a fast CPU or vast RAM.Now follows a story that will mainly appeal to techies:The machine I received came with Windows 10 version 1809, which worked fine, but I wanted to update it to version 1903. Performing an in-place update to 1903 turned out to be a trial-and-error ordeal. Drive C: didn't have enough space to store the update files, but the micro SD card set to drive D: did. However, when the machine rebooted partway through the update, it refused to recognize drive D: no matter what I tried, so I had to abort the attempt. What eventually worked was to create a bootable Windows 10 1903 installer on a 32 GB USB thumb drive (formatted as NTFS) ... then plug that into the computer via the provided USB to USB-C adapter ... and then run the setup.exe program on the USB drive directly from Windows, like a regular setup program.Taking this route, the USB thumb drive had enough free space for the 10 GB of files the in-place update needed to offload, and Windows recognized the thumb drive without problem when it needed to reboot.Be warned, though: the update took hours upon hours, so you'll need to be patient. You'll be tempted to think the update process is stuck, but just wait it out. Eventually it will move off of "0% complete" and into double-digit percentages.Despite the low-end hardware, I was impressed that this little machine could actually handle a major update like that at all.Even if you don't care about updating the OS, I've found the Nuvision to be a capable, fully-featured Windows 10 computer that's just perfect when you don't need (or want) to haul around a full-size laptop.

Waste of money -- don't recommend for this particular product from NuVision
I owned a NuVision 8" tablet for more than 2 years: it works great and I love it. Then I decided to purchase this NuVision 11" tablet a few months ago. Alas, this time is a completely a waste of money: After charging it to full battery, it will stay on for only a few minutes and then suddenly shut down without any signal at all. Basically, what I am saying is that this particular product from NuVision is simply a garbage and I won't recommend it at all; but that does not mean other products from NuVision are of bad quality.

refurb performs like new
tablets tend to draw a lot of power and draw a lot from the battery....it took me a little playing to figure how to get the longest life from the charge. i am new to the tablet market so i don't know how valuable my review will be but I'll offer the following...my needs are documents and occasionally go to guitar tab sites... as i play guitar and need a tablet to eliminate the giant ring binder I've had to carry for decades now. the screen resolution is very clear..and the wireless internet connection when it's needed has been pretty stable ( my wife had a tablet that had a hard time staying connected) I've used it briefly to surf the net.... download / upload sheet music and do some basic recordings... the speakers aren't much to listen to..but there is a headphone out and the audio is actually pretty good...i would definitely recommend this Tablet for other guitar players... good value and i highly recommend the seller i purchased this from...

GREAT TABLET COMPUTER!
First off, this is a decent tablet I know the reviews say otherwise but do take a chance like I did you may be surprised on what you get. I didn't think much on this tablet because it was a 50/50 of thinking it was going to be awful like the representation of the reviews or relatively decent based off of the YouTube videos i watched about the device.]]Do understand that this isn't the perfect device it doesn't have the latest specs like a Microsoft Surface Pro or anything but it can handle programs and daily usage.I would say it's pretty decent at speed its not super fast but it isn't slow more in the middle as decently fast, The screen is actually very nice making any videos being watched on the device look very nice and crisp, the keyboard is pretty decent as I'm typing using it now I'd say it's decent. i enjoy the fact that i can detach the keyboard when I am moving around. I think a draw back is that when typing in any text boxes the on screen keyboard doesn't pop up so you would have to manually click the icon. My solution is to add the windows onscreen keyboard to the task bar, though the tablet's on screen keyboard has a few more layout options. This little nick can be annoying sometimes. The screen itself has 10 touch points so using all 10 fingers is fine on the tablet, the screen itself is large enough to see most things and with the touch screen it makes using this as a laptop really easy and efficient to use.The tablet itself is well built but a con i'd give to the manufacturers is that it's incredibly heavy, way heavier than another 11.6" laptop that i own. the back is while at thew bottom made from aluminum and there is a USB c port, volume p and down buttons, a 3.5 mm headphone jack and two not very good speakers one on both sides. While at the bottom are the magnetic punch holes for the magnetic pins that connects the keyboard and the magnetic force is incredible its extremely strong and holds well to the tablet. Furthermore, the tablet and keyboard connect magnetically on both sides creating a case from the keyboard. I'd say the touch pad is a bit finicky and a little too sensitive but although i'm not entirely sure i bet there are settings to fix this or buy a cheap Bluetooth mouse.Windows 10 is just as good as it is on my actual laptop, but it updates to windows 1809, also after charging my tablet i was able to set up and update the device using the 32gb of the flash storage that the tablet has before inserting any external storage card. I also downloaded a few programs as sd card or flash drives, etc well. But you will need to get an external micro sd card, flash drive, etc to expand your storage, i have a 128gb and that works fine but those who plan to use this for videos and games may want to get a higher capacity. It runs full widows 10 and works well i was able to customize and personalize my tablet with a few you-tube searches.Battery life is OK not the best it can have 8hrs or higher if you always keep battery saver on even at 100%, i'd recommend keeping it on otherwise the battery drains quite easily but it also charges incredibly fast using the chargerbrick it can also charge using usb type c chargers unfortunately i haven't had the chance to charge it using my chargers yet. But otherwise the battery is decent but not the best. Both cameras are decent which i didn't expect they are super great but you can take pictures on the tablet when needed. The power button isn't necessarily a lock screen button although it can be used as such it's easier to just close the keyboard on the tablet or manually lock it using the start button. All in all, i'd give this 4/5 stars grading my opinion with the review but the over all product isn't bad so i'll rate it 5/5As a consumer i believe i got a fair deal, i bought a renewed device the box looked renewed but the device seemed new or very well kept and came with all the products mentioned in the videos i watched a USB c to HDMI out cord, USB-C to USB a out cord, and charger were all still in the wrapping and so was the device and keyboard. I also bought a 3 pack of super-shields screen protectors and it is still a finger print magnet but it works for me. I'd definitely recommend this cheap budget tablet that once went for $200+ so to me this is an awesome deal to only have to pay around $130+. I'd recommend this for anyone wanting a more portable laptop or for those wanting a tablet with windows, students who don't want to carry around there inexpensive/expensive laptops, those that need this for light work or heavy duty works but you should definitely have this plugged into a charger, parents wanting a good deal for their kids, or young people or older people wanting to have a device with decent specs but full windows 10. From one customer to another i took a chance buying this tablet and in my opinion i'm glad i did it was worth it not investing in a 1k tablet from microsoft. I bought mine from electronics101deals, the name sounds shady but they shipped it quickly with the actual amazon truck i'm happy that i bought it.So who is this device for?Students(high school, college)Young teens (parents that don't mind the price)anyone who doesn't want to pay 1k but still wants a decent devicepeople who don't mind using windows office, google drive, word processing, (light work, light coding)light gamers, candy crush, online games, etcWho is this not for? Those that need the latest cutting edge tech and specspeople who need to use this for opening tons of programs at a timegamers who use heavy loaded gamesBrand Name: NUVISIONItem model number: Split 11Hardware Platform: PCOperating System: Microsoft Windows 10 HomeScreen Size: 11.6 inchesScreen Resolution: 1920 x 1080Max Screen Resolution: 1920 x 1080Processor: Intel Celeron N3350 1.1 GHz Dual-CoreRAM: 4 GB 4GB LPDDR3 SDRAMHard Drive: 32 GB flash storageWireless Type: 802.11a, 802.11b/g/nBluetooth: 4.2Color: SilverRear Webcam Resolution: 5 MPProcessor Brand: IntelComputer Memory Type: DDR3 SDRAMFlash Memory Size: 32 GBItem Weight: 1.7 poundsItem Dimensions L x W x H: 11.6 x 0.6 x 7 inchesPower Source: AC & BatteryAverage Battery Life (in hours): 8 hours less if your demandingShipping Weight: 4.35 pounds
