Create a tropical paradise in your garden this year with this fabulous giant-flowered Hibiscus 'Perfect Storm'.Hardy down to -15°C, Hibiscus moscheutos is perfectly suited to the UK climate, and bursts into bloom from late summer with an abundant display of massive, exotic flowers right through to the autumn. The bright, white flowers of this giant Rose Mallow reach up to 20cm across and blend perfectly with its striking, purple foliage - each bloom being edged in pink with a prominent central eye of bright red.Because it's bred to be more compact than other Hibiscus, it's perfect whether grown at the back of the border or in a large pot on your patio or balcony.Easy to grow, 'Perfect Storm' is part of the Summerific (R) series and will eventually reach just 1m (3ft) and needs very little in the way of maintenance, so even the most inexperienced of gardeners is guaranteed exceptional and stunning results.Supplied as an established plant in a 9cm pot, ready to be planted straight out.

Give it time
Thought it had died off, but the following year has come back and is a really strong plant with lots of foliage and flowers

Slow starter
Came as a dormant bare root. Planted it out but nearly five weeks later no signs of life ! Slightly worried but will keep an open mind.

Very small plant
Need to be careful at first with this small plant and harden off but good news is the slugs haven't eaten any of it!

Arrives very quick, but is a small plant
The plant is small so will take time to develop before potting out into the garden, time will tell.

More exotic Hibiscus do not do as well even onj the South coast
I had ordered a trio of 3 other Hibiscus which are all doing well. Of course, they are deciduous so have now lost most of their leaves. This one is not as impressive. It was smaller upon arrival and looked a bit weedy. I'll see how it survives the winter and eagerly look for new sturdy growth in the Spring!

Is the plant viable
Looks gorgeous on picture unfortunatley when it arrived was a small twig was expecting bigger, also looked half dead despite some TLC it died off. Contacted seller who were very good and gave me a total refund. Just a dissapointment as they were unable to replace.
