Worked just like I hoped it would
Worked just like I hoped it would! I bleached my hair to the lightest i could get it without burning it off. It was sooooo yellow! I searched the web after my hair girl kept telling me to use the toning shampoo and I wasn't getting the results i wanted. I found many blogs writing about this product so i tried it. Used volume 10 developer bc thats what I had and left it on for 15 mins and I'm soooo happy withthe end results! Took the yellow right out disnt leave it grey or purple and my hair is not like straw. I will definitely use this again in a few weeks after it starts to fade!

Best toner ever
I highly recommend this toner! I dyed my hair to a pale yellow. Now it was really yellow, but the toner worked perfectly. I added pics of before and after toner

LOVE THIS. It was exactly what I wanted
LOVE THIS. It was exactly what I wanted! I'd done two bleach sessions to my hair prior and wanted it to be more on the silver/gray side. I left it in for about 15 mins and came out with this. It was perfect!

T18 = The Perfect Platinum
Going from dark brunette to platinum blonde is truly a process (no pun intended)... Definitely not for the faint of heart or inexperienced!Fortunately Wella has the perfect toners both for the initial makeover and for at-home DIY maintenance.T18, Lightest Ash Blonde (formerly known as "White Lady") produces a lovely shade of pale, slightly silvery platinum.I keep 6-8 bottles on hand at all times.If you have a lot of very thick hair as I do, or very long hair, you'll need 1-1/2 to 2 bottles for full-head applications, or 1 to 1-1/2 for root touch-ups. Do not skimp or you'll undoubtedly be left with unsightly, patchy colour coverage.Please note: Wella T18, is a Toner (not a conventional hair dye). Toners only work on hair that is being double-processed (e.g.: bleached prior to application of toner). Additionally, your bleached hair should be a very pale shade (preferably a "10") prior to applying T18 for it to be the most effective.Thanks for reading,-CC, Amazon Prime Member-Reviewer

Brassy colors are totally gone
I am stoked to write this review! I was worried when I bought it.I have so much respect for hair stylists, and I wish I could afford to go, but lately it isn't feasible for me financially at this point in time. It's important for my hair to look nice.I bleached my hair about 3 weeks back. I've always bleached it and then gone to get it professionally toned. This time, I bought the wellaToner with the 20 developer. I washed my hair, towel dried it, and applied the developer+toner solution with a painting sponge. I left it in for 30 minutes, rinsed, and had perfect results.I think this T18 toner + the 20 developer are best or hair color like mine. I'm a natural dirty blonde- so even my roots aren't super dark and it didn't do anything weird to them.But it's definitely for people with already pale hair who just want to get rid of the orange/brassy colors that bleach tends to create. Now my hair just looks a lot more natural blonde. And for a total of about $15-$20 instead of $40.

Not for beginners!
The important thing to know about this 'toner' is that, unlike other products called toners, this doesn't just leave a thin layer of color on your hair to balance orange or brassy tones. Instead, this stuff requires a developer and close, CLOSE attention. Starting out nearly clear, after the developer is added and it's applied to the hair, it becomes purple, the color intensifies the longer it sits. PLUS, there seems to be considerable bleaching action, judging by the damage it does your hair.So it works if you are going for white or nearly white hair, but it requires more skill and attention than other regular bleach/developer combos. Not for first timers, be prepared for considerable damage.

great
Okay so my hair was orangish yellow and looked awful. like donald trump hair color awful. One mistake was using toner from another brand which hindered the toning. I fixed this and used wella toner and now it works so so well. It took the yellow and orange tones right out. pastel purple color is opposite on the color wheel from yellow, which means it neutralizes it. This means you will want to use a purple shampoo and conditioner in between toning and may need to tone anywhere from once a week to once a month because its essentially a hair dye and it will fade.

did the job
I am a natural brunette and get my hair done professionally all the time. It's costly but I don't care as long as it looks good. Well this most recent time I wasn't the happiest with the results and even though the stylist would have fixed it I could make hers and my schedule match. I read a blog and decided to try this. Honestly I have to say this works pretty well. See photos.The first/braided photos show the uneven not so well toned hair and the second the no longer brassy, blended, toned hair which was the result after the wells toner.
