1PC JF-0730B 12V 1A 5N Push Pull Type Open Frame Solenoid Electromagnet

This is a great little servo that does exactly what I need it to do. Threaded mounting holes were a big plus for me. Made my project very easy to complete.

This product does exactly what I need it to do.

Pros:* Well made with good stop nut at one end and flange to hook items* Good spacing of shaft so no hangs* Good length of travel* Mounting threaded holes on the bottom of the metal caseCons:* Not suggested for continuous duty. Mine pulls 700MA at 12V, gets hot* Weak starting pull stalls device but hits spec when close to maximum pull.

I am an escape room builder I added this to a prop with 12v DC and a push button to activate it but when power is applied to it for more than 30 secs it is to hot to touch meaning it will burn up fast. My problem is I need it to actuate for 20 to 40 mins due to the way the game layout is. If correct power is applied it should not heat up this much.
