This Rain-X Plastic Treatment is a fantastic product that works exactly as advertised. I am giving it a 5-star rating because it is designed specifically for plastic, which is crucial for items like motorcycle helmet shields. Unlike the regular Rain-X formula, this one will not ruin or haze the plastic.Using it on my helmet shield has made riding in bad weather a much safer experience. The water beads up and rolls right off, providing clear vision when I need it most. It’s an essential product for any vehicle or piece of gear with plastic windows or shields.

I have always liked the effect of Rain-X glass cleaner. As a motorcyclist, I generally try to avoid rain, but when you take long trips like I do, sometimes you get stuck in it. Previously I only washed my windshield and visor with hot water and a soft microfiber towel. I was happy to find Rain-X for plastics. I experimented with other products and found they caused various problems over time. Peeling, discoloration, fogging, and even warping. So far, I haven’t seen any issues and haven’t been caught up in any rain, but when I spray water on my helmet and visor, the water just falls off. Added bonus - the bug guts rinse right off, too.

It works great on my one helmet that just has a black smoked shield but doesn't work on my other helmet that has a mirrored shield.
