Rod Steward Unplugged...and Seated deserves 20 stars.
I bought this cd based on the recommendation of a friend. Was told 'Waltzing Matilda' was on there, and having never known that Rod Stewart ever recorded that song, I was eager to hear it; I'm so glad I listened to the cd from the beginning, not slighting any of the songs. (They were unplugged, after all). What a treat! Some were unfamiliar to me, others are like old friends; I know them well. Every single one has a gentler treatment. The sound and feel throughout these performances is more mellow, so I was almost mesmerized all the way through. As for 'Waltzing Matilda', never have I heard such a rendition as is presented. It brings a person to tears, really. In my heart I thank Rod for going Unplugged and, showing another side, somewhat, of himself.I always read the liner notes of all cd's, and in this case the photos throughout the spread, speak more than 1,000 words, each one. It is obvious that Rod took much pleasure in these performances, especially as his good friend, guitarist---and special guest---Ronnie Wood, is present and playing alongside. The cover photo sets the tone, drawing one into the feel of this entire cd. Just see the controlled intensity combined with the kindness, on the faces of these two. This atmosphere continues throughout the notes. The photo of Ronnie and Rod(erick) greeting one another, seems more like a genuine reunion than anything else. Oh, is this cd and its accompanying notes, a True Keeper. It deserves 20 stars, folks.

Rod Stewart Unplugged .... and Amazing
What could be more perfect than getting the CD and the DVD of one of the best Unplugged shows of the series? Rod Stewart's vocals and stage presence are in top form here. He is having so much fun that he is barely able to contain his enthusiasm. I love that Ronnie Wood is there with him. I always thought the two of them looked like brothers and their comradery is so evident here. Interesting choice of songs get the unplugged treatment here. When you have such an impressive repertoire of material to choose from, it's that much more fun.

Nostalgic
I remember watching this performance on MTV when it premiered. Listening to the CD (over and over) brings me back to my youth. Most of the songs on this CD sound so much better live and unplugged than they did in their original recordings. The band and the orchestra hit just the right balance between hard rock, blue grass, and blues. Soulful stuff.

Rod: One of the best of the Unplugged releases
One of the best of the massive wave of MTV Unplugged releases from the day. Rod Stewart and his covers-laden catalog are ideally suited to the format, and he makes the most of it, for sure. If you're a fan of Rod the Mod and / or the Unplugged phenomenon, well, you'll find a lot to like here. Four brightly shining stars and heartily recommended to Rod Stewart, classic rock, and Unplugged fans.

Very cool...
Very cool to see Rod and Ronnie interact. I loved hearing all those old songs. You really see the passion that Rod brings to his songs, he really gets into a song for his wife. His band sounds great , Great guitars , great backup vocals. All around an awesome look at Rod Stewart up close and personal. Rod can barely sit down when he performs. This shows you how really good Rod Stewart and his band mates are. You gotta get this and crank it.....

Nice, mellow collection.
This album has a lot of "Gasoline Alley" material on it. Ronnie Wood joins Rod on some songs, and that makes it a bit special. Nice slide work among some almost sparse background that includes "Mandolin Wind" and one of my old favorites (being 5' 4"), "Cut Across Shorty". A nice album to add to a small crowd play list. I recommend you give it a listen and make up your own mind. If you are looking for some mellow music, this should fit the bill.

Unplugged and Seated (collector's Edition CD and DVD
This collector's Set is a great performance by Rod. Only one thing i had to return it because on the seller page it does not mention the Region for the DVD and it would not play for me. It's not a Region 1 DVD. I suspect it's an import and some other Region that may be international. The Music is a Exceptional Live performance by Rod. It's a shame i could not keep the set because of the DVD that i could not watch.

Grande Rod.
The media could not be loaded. Bellissimo disco unplugged dove si sente la vera musica e il vero rod , artista di vecchia data al pari dei beatles e rolling stones. Canzoni molto belle , ben suonate e con la partecipazione straordinaria di Ronnie Wood.
