Marks Mandalas 16 Size Dotting Tool Set

If you are doing mandala art-or any kind of project that requires dots then I definitely recommend these tools. I used them on twin wooden beds to give a more world travel vibe for a child’s jungle room. I bought these because of a review. They were easier for me as a beginner to use rather than the ball shaped tools I intended to purchase. I did need to practice with these as with any new tools you might start using. The flat shape helped me control the size of the paint circles better than the rounded ball head. I used larger sizes than I expected to use so was thankful it was a large set. I do think these are pricey and since I have completed my project I’m not sure I will need them but they worked well for me and were easy to clean up. All reviews are subjective and I thought the tools were good quality and many sizes but cost too much. I thought about deducting a star because of the cost but then I have no true idea of what it costs to produce this tool and sell it on Amazon so I’m not sure that would be fair. The tools worked well for me and I’m glad they were available.

I've been using these 'Marks Mandalas' tools for a couple of years now and I absolutely love them! They're an excellent assist in the making of some really beautiful Mandala Dotting Art, and the circular marks that they make are totally proper & correct as opposed to many of the other tools that are either on the market available for purchase or than that of any of the different types of tools and things that are used and have been recommended from around the house, i.e., ✏ both ends of a pencil, punch set tools, q-tips, toothpicks, etc ... Honestly, I'd be lost without em, and as a matter of fact, one of my students lost my #13, 14 tool the other day and I've been trying like mad to find it, but it's become apparent that it must of slipped into another dimension because it's just nowhere! I'm really missing it, hence what I'm doing here this morning actually. I was going to repurchase this same 16 size set, but I just discovered that he has a larger quantity set that if I remember correctly, has 10 tools numbered 1-20, which consists of the same first 8 tools that are numbered 1-16 as are in this set, but there are an additional 2 tools numbered 17-20 and then another 2 tools marked A & B, C & D. So I think I'm going to purchase that set of 'Marks Mandalas' instead this time, and they couldn't get here to me fast enough lol. I'll have to tough it out for one day though lol. I just love being an Amazon Prime Member. A little too much sometimes though, as I am known for being an Amazon shopaholic / addict, and practically exclusively. Anywho, if at this point I still must say, I highly, highly recommend these art dotting tools!! They are comfortable to hold and like I said, make perfect marks. This is a really nice set. Pricey but easy to use. It would help a lot if they filled in the numbers and dropped the price by $3-$5. They'd probably sell a lot more of them. I filled the numbers in with black ink so I could read them better. I made a dot sheet to see the sizes better also. Excellent first set of dotting tools. The numbered tool helps me keep better track of my design, excellent tool idea. The ball sets are good too but these stand out to me for ease of use, despite hard to read sizes and price.

I love these dotting tools for painting rocks. Makes a nice, round dot.

I received this product and it was used. I often purchased from Amazon warehouse, and I went back to make sure that I purchased a brand new product and I did. I Emailed the vendor and they refunded my money immediately. Customer Service that was impressive! As for the product, This is my second set. I highly recommend. They are very smoothly machine, so they perform beautifully when you’re doing very precise dotting. I love that they are marked with size so I can create consistent patterns. They Have an excellent array of sizes, which makes them very versatile, and are well made, which makes them a good value.

I am just a beginner, and have ordered many dotting tools. None of them did the trick. These tools are great! Comfortable in my hand. Paint seems to adhere to them better. With the proper care, I look forward to using them for a long time. I will store them horizontally, to protect the smaller points. I have much better control of these and it’s easier to get my spacing right. So if you are a beginner, and are looking for a user-friendly, dotting tool, invest in the best. You won’t be sorry.

I’ve been dot painting for years using styluses but wanted to do some mandala painting so I bought three kits on Amazon and this was my favorite. You really can get great dots in many sizes with just a few practice tries. Much better than the acrylic roller style and the classic artist stylus. So glad I decided to order yet another set of dotting tools (actually read about them on a website and come back to Amazon to order). Easy to use, easy to clean, the tool does most of the work, and I highly recommend. Bravo to a great product!

I really wanted to like these, but the circles made by them are inconsistent. Also the flat parts are not flat, so they hold more paint than needed and therefore it's applied unevenly. These weren't cheap, and I'm considering returning them. I want to try them one more time to see if it's more user error or the product. UPDATE: I missed the return window, so I still have them. I tried them out again, and they just don't provide a nice circle. I tried a light touch with little paint (most dabbed off) and again just dabbed in paint, a heavier touch, touching and twisting, and it's just easier for me to paint my own circles.
