Fantastic!
The copy that I have currently been reading, which is The Fellowship of the Ring, is falling apart on just the first read through and I have only gotten as far as The House of Tom Bombadil (chapter 7).I saw this on sale for $25 marked down from $40.Low and behold to my surprise it is the entirety of The Lord of the Rings and not just The Fellowship of the Ring.I would have been more than happy to pay full price for this had I known it was the whole series in one book.A beautiful hard leather binding no less.

The best lord of the rings edition that I have
This is the best Lord of the rigs edition that I have. It’s exactly what Tolkien wanted his book to be, the way it was intended to be printed. High quality paper, beautiful cover. All the story in a single volume. Perfect book.

Ring around the World
“All that is gold does not glitter,Not all those who wander are lost…But what was lost may yet be found.”“You may be sure that it was not for any merit that others do not possess: not for power or wisdom, at any rate. But you have been chosen, and you must therefore use such strength and heart and wits as you have.”“That is the purpose for which you are called hither. Called, I say, though I have not called you to me, strangers from distant lands. You have come and are here met, in this very nick of time, by chance as it may seem. Yet it is not so. Believe rather that it is so ordered that we, who sit here, and none others, must now find counsel for the peril of the world.“Now, therefore, things shall be openly spoken about that have been hidden from all but a few until this day. And first, so that all may understand what is the peril, the Tale of the Ring shall be told from the beginning even to this present. And I will begin this tale, though others shall end it.”“The wide world is all about you: you can fence yourselves in, but you cannot for ever fence it out.” “The world is indeed full of peril, and in it there are many dark places; but still there is much that is fair, and though in all lands love is now mingled with grief, it grows perhaps the greater.”“I would not have come, had I known the danger of light and joy. Now I have taken my worst wound in this parting…Alas for us all! And for all that walk the world in these after-days. For such is the way of it: to find and lose…But I count you blessed…for your loss you suffer of your own free will, and you might have chosen otherwise. But you have not forsaken your companions, and the least reward that you shall have is that the memory…shall remain ever clear and unstained in your heart, and shall neither fade nor grow stale.”J. R. R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings was a perfect parallel for my adventure in Uzbekistan this summer.

Beautiful book
This edition of The Lord of the Rings is absolutely stunning. The cover has a beautiful design with embossed details that really stand out, making it a joy to hold in your hands. The book feels sturdy yet elegant, with a texture that adds to the overall reading experience. One of the best things about it is how well the pages stay open. No matter where you open the book, the pages don’t flip back on their own, which makes reading incredibly convenient. It’s perfect for enjoying long reading sessions without the frustration of constantly adjusting the book.My 11-year-old is captivated by the story and has been reading it with great enthusiasm. This edition makes it even more enjoyable for him to immerse himself in Tolkien’s world. Highly recommend for both fans of the series and new readers alike!

Craft and Beauty
I am so so pleased with this purchase, one of my favorite books I own. IMO this is the best, most ideal form of this book to read and to treasure. Most single volumes of LOTR are either1. Hardcover editions with aesthetics that capture the imagination and draw one in to the romantic fantasy epic within. . . but are completely impractical for reading. The kind of edition you buy to display, not the one you reach for when you are going to actually read.2. Unwieldly paperbacks that are more "readable" but aesthetically uninspiring. Something you'd want to read and then give away, not really something you'd want displayed. But THIS edition is the best of both worlds, a marriage of form and function that dazzles the senses and draws one in to Middle Earth like nothing else.-The vinyl cover feels good in your hand, giving the sensory heft and substance of a hardcover book with just the right amount of flexibility to provide an ergonomically satisfying grip when reading.-The pages and type have a premium feel without being distracting, and there is an off-white yellowish tint that is easy on the eyes. Seriously, once I start reading, it's like the pages disappear and I'm lost in Tolkien's world.-All around, this edition feels premium and sturdy and well made, while also clearly prioritizing the reading experience.Buy this book and let the craft and care of this edition bring out the craft and beauty of Tolkien's world, and when you put it down, try to see the world around you with the same love, care, and attention to the good, the true, and the beautiful that Tolkien describes in his Middle Earth.(And if this is important to you: The Lord of the Rings is one of the greatest stories ever written by a devoutly Catholic man (maybe saint someday!). As a Catholic myself, I delight in supplementing my faith by immersing myself in the Good, True, and Beautiful. Tolkien was a devout Catholic whose faith bled into his writing both implicitly and explicitly. This story is filled to the brim with the Good, the True, and the Beautiful in the way Tolkien crafts his world, upholds its virtues, and portrays the characters that inhabit it. Do yourself a favor and get this edition of his story that assembles his great story in a way that brings out the craft, scope, and beauty of this story, and treasure it by your bedside, holding Tolkien in your heart as a kindred spirit who wrote to glorify God, hoping that your life may be lived with the same care and craft with which Tolkien created this story, that you may glorify God as well.)

Be aware of the spine
Think that it's a great book but it's does end up shipping with a damaged spine on the back.I but think it's because of the size.Got it on sale so not as big of deal if I paid $40 for the book.
