Great for kids
Got this for guests to stay in our finished basement. If you after taller than about 5'7", fitting on it comfortably becomes trickier. The actual railings around the bed are REALLY short...I have an 8 inch mattress on it in these pictures, unless you want it mostly level with the to of the frame, I don't think you could go above 10" without it looking silly. There is also very very little back support, so would not recommend this unless it is flat against a wall. It took my very handy friend and I about 2.5 hours to assemble, if assembly doesn't come easy to you, I'd highly recommend hiring someone.

The smell.
Used this item for a bedroom. The smell of the wood was vary bad. The wood is still out side and not able to put this product together after two months. It appears that the company manufactures the parts and place in boxes and must not have time to breathe. Ho bows how long this product sits in the boxes.
