Progressive does it again.
Purchased the 444s to replace the stock air shocks on my 07 FLHTC. A few years earlier, I had purchased the 412s as a replacement for the stock shocks on my 02 FXDWG. The ride was awesome, therefore when I made the decision to move up to Progressive shocks on my 07 I knew the ride would be good. I was not disappointed.Installation is a piece of cake, but you should have a lift of some sort to take the weight off of your rear tire and to be able to adjust the rear suspension travel to more easily line up the mounting holes with the bolts. I purchased the 11.5" units to lower the bike a bit. Although I have not been two up yet, I did put a lot of miles on the scoot this past weekend, over all sorts of road surfaces, and did not experience any bottoming at all. Next weekend we'll test two up, but I'm pretty sure that unless I really hit something hard that all should be fine in fanny town. Clearance appears to be no problem as well.FOR SALE....slightly used air shocks for HD FLH series scoots.UPDATE 5/24/2016 This past weekend had an opportunity to ride two up. Absolutely no problems and we hit a few good bumps too. Very happy with the ride. Best of all? So nice to be able to plant my feet flat on the ground. I hated the tippy toe thing I had with the stock shox. I'm 5'6" 245lbs.

Better ride.
Installed these on my 2020 scout bobber. Much better ride than the old stock shocks.

Not worth it
Progressive 444 11.5 review after 1 1/2 years and 8000 miles. I have to crank them up to the highest spring preload to get a ride quality that is not any better than the stock hd shocks. They simply do not have the travel at 11.5 and they are not a lot of fun on long trips. I wish i could return them. They progressive 412 are better in my opinion than these in the 12 inch length. Cost over twice as much as 412s? What gives and not sure what the other people on here are reviewing as they said they were great? I have 200000 miles on harleys and believe me these are not worth the monies.
