After using it three weeks -- I really like it
I have severe mobility problems and I can't 'stand' in the kitchen any more. But my kitchen is NOT wheelchair friendly (way too small and everything is too high up). I've worn out 2-3 rolling chairs -- particularly the hydraulics on anything small enough for the kitchen isn't heavy duty enough for *me*. ! - I like that it is chrome -- it is heavy duty and doesn't "creak" under me. 2 -- even at the lowest setting it's higher than most office chairs "high". 3 - the seat is larger than some -- which **for me** is good.OK -- discussion re: "reality" -- someone else mentioned this so be careful when you consider this. This chair **IS** fast. So either make danged sure you have hold of it when you sit down or roll it back against something when you sit down because it **could** go out from under you easily. Particularly if you are a short person !!! I have to really raise myself up way higher than normal to sit down on this. For *me* -- I'm so short I'm really handicapped by my own kitchen because even reaching into the sink can be torture. This chair -- at it's *lowest* setting -- makes it possible for me to do dishes and reach into the sink to wash something. **Because it is already at it's lowest setting** I truly don't have to give a fig about the hydraulic because at it's lowest setting it's FINE for me.None of the rolling chairs are at all good at being descriptive about how "high" they are - you can't tell if the measurement is from the bottom of the seat or the top (this one is from the top) -- but the seat is 3" of *very* stiff foam. This seat is not going to break down overnight.I am really very happy with this -- it's sturdy, it's height works well for me where I must use it. But I am **extremely** cautious how I sit down on it -- I make sure my behind is squarely ON the seat -- but I also make sure I'm not too far *back* or it could tip over!! For me, it works best to back the seat up to a cabinet and sit down with my back to the cabinet -- it ensures I don't go too far back, but it also ensures it doesn't roll out from under me.Sorry to be so verbose - -but I agonized over this decision for weeks because I felt like none of the descriptions were adequate -- and I read **every** review and tried to apply them to what "reality" would be to have this in my home. If you are tall -- it's going to be a whole different story. If you are wanting to have it very high - I can't tell you a thing. But given the million office chairs I've had in my life this is sturdy and well constructed and the cost was reasonable.

Great Stool
Update 11/3/24: I wanted to update my initial review from one year ago. I use this stool daily to help me do my chores. I roll from kitchen to laundry, to microwave, do dishes, etc... due to spine issues. It rolls so nice and the cushion is amazing as it did not deflate like I thought it might as I weigh 250lb. I am so pleased with this stool as it literally is a tool for me to age at home with disabilities and keep my house up the best I can. I still highly recommend.Sept 2023 Purchase: I am disabled with spine issues and can't stand long. I had another stool for 6 yrs that was a life saver. But the cushion was 1/2 as thick and seriously flattened over these years. I re-bought the exact same one. But found out after the first week when 2 wheels broke (had a 330lb weight compacity) and the seat flattened that the company did have to make material adjustments for cost purposes. I was mad because they tried to play off the exact stool for degraded materials. So was very happy to find this one. I used it mostly in my kitchen that has a desk next to sink, washer/dryer right off of it. So I rolled everywhere from doing dishes to changing laundry. I am not a little person so I really read the reviews and weight limits. I was a bit concerned that the weight limit was only 275lbs as I weighed that just a year ago. But have brought it down now. I am 250lbs and I am so impressed with this stool. It rolls like I am on glass and the cushion is so comfortable. It is just perfect. I hope it holds for a long time. I highly recommend this stool.

Nice chair but I expected it to be a little less firm
This is is nice well made chair, very stable, easy to assemble and the covering seems durable. The seat is a lot firmer than I expected even though there is at least 1 1/2 inches of padding when I use my thumbs to check the depth. The back is not adjustable in any way but the seat height ranges from 20 to 26 inches measured from the floor to the top of the seat cushion. For me, this is an ideal range since I can use it at a desk for raise it up I to work better on objects on my desk or use it with other activities. I would have wanted it to be a little softer.

Great chair for the money!!
I read all of the review... some good, some not so good. Here is what I found. 1. This chair is best for people with a small to med build. That said, if you are over 5'8" or over 175lbs, and or have very long legs, I don't recommend it. The reason is that when you attach the back, it is slightly slanted forward pushing your tush a good 1 1/2 forward on the seat plat form. Other than that it is a great chair for the price. Its for someone who does not like to feel totally absorbed by their chair.. I sew for a living so I needed something versatile that I could move this way and that way and toss big amounts of fabric with out a chair getting in my way. My hubby is in it and he is usually at a bistro high table so we ordered the taller version of this stool for him. He also needs mobility and this chair gives you that. If you are more of the sit at my desk all tucked in and comfy like a lazy boy chair... this will not work for you. Also, the padding is firm. Which we love. The Color is more of a taupe beige an not an ivory beige. I am 5'3" and 112 lbs, it took me all of 5 minutes to assemble. Someone also mentioned that they were not wild about the fact that the chair is not bolted onto the platform. Well I put in my wheels last and so I had to put the chair on its side. It did not fall apart at all! We have wood floors... no rolling issues. It rolls nicely but like a pair of skates or anything like that.

Sturdy rolling stool - great for craft room with wood floors!
Very sturdy rolling stool. I use this in my craft/embrodiery room. Love the adjustable height--very easy to move up and down. Assembly was very easy!
