i needed lighter, but not too light water weights. I injured my shoulder and my speedo foam weights were too difficult for me. You can direct the resistance by using the flat or angled side.

They are amazing!!! I walk in the pool with them for an hour. The medium resistance is perfect! They have really toned my arms.
