Found this adorable bell and got it for our kids’ playhouse. It’s the perfect size. I really like how sturdy it is and thick the metal is. It seems to be tough enough to handle kids banging on it and has held up this far. The metal is a shiny gold verse brushed. I do have one negative that the gold is tarnishing rather quickly. But I guess that’s fine with the price point. I can always spray it with some gold spray paint when it starts to look terrible. The little macrame handle is adorable as well. It came nicely packaged and was easy to install.

My friend commented this bell has a very nice tone and I agree. It's a handsome well constructed bell with a nice braided rope. I'll be using it as a old fashioned door bell and I can hear it in the back of my house. I paid about $15 and feel I got my money's worth.

I ordered both this 2" bell and also the 3" version of this bell which is slightly different in the sense of the mounting arm and ring. The last photo shows a picture of the 2" bell on the left and 3" bell on the right for comparison purposes.I did not realize how small this bell would be. It is tiny enough to fit in the palm of my hand. The inches are measured from the widest point on the bottom.It does not come with mounting hardware. I wish it did because one has to find the right nails/screws to fit this. There are three screw holes in the mounting arm. The clang is tinny but yet loud enough and is made by rocking the cord back and forth which swings the bell ball against the bell.This is gorgeous and perfect to affix on a door or somewhere near a hotel or sales reception area.

This rather small bell produces a tinny sound that lacks resonance or bass, and won't be heard over moderate ambient noise across a house. If you're hoping for a bell to be useful for signaling something, like 'dinnertime' or such, this simply isn't designed to do that. It's really just a decorative little bell to add some brassy flair to a wall.Installation was easy. I just screwed the mounting arm to the wall. I was surprised that no screws or anchors are included, but the first two wood screws I found worked fine.As far as detail, on the rope and brass, it just doesn't look 'nice'. I can see seams from the mold, and the finish is not consistent. You may not notice unless you pay attention, but on some level, your mind will notice that this is a 'cheap' looking thing.So, bottom line, it's not functional, lacks all the parts it requires, and doesn't succeed as a nice decoration. Unfortunately it's a poor product.

The only thing that would make this bell better, is if it were bigger and if it came with brass screws to hang it on the wall. At 2.25 inches high and 2 inches wide. It comes with a rope that is attached to ring the bell. The bell makes a nice sound that is not going to call the cows home, but should be heard in a few different rooms.
